By the Power of Grayskull!
It was a normal day in Los Angeles and at the Defenders' Compound. Or so it seemed. It only took a few minutes, but the compound was transformed into a castle with part of it looking like a skull. Castle Grayskull now stood where the main building of the Defenders' compound once stood. Around the castle a thick woods sprang up and surrounded the castle.

One one side of LA Skeletor and his crew started heading for Castle Grayskull. He wanted to get inside and learn all of its secrets.

On the other side of LA Hordak and his crew started headed for the Whispering Woods. He wanted to capture She-Ra and her rebels.

The blast hits, sending Hal staggering back. And then he grins. This may be as good a fight as the cinematic one - or better even.

Hefting his axe, Hal rushes, taking a swing towards his alter-ego's archenemy.

Skeletor brought his staff up to block the blow, staggering back a step.

He swung it around in a wide arc.

The ram's head staff catches Hal across the face, staggering him again. He wipes the back of an arm across the bit of blood.

Oh yes, this would be much better indeed. He lowers his shoulder and charges, trying to drive Skeletor back away from his crew, if nothing else. This fight should be done one on one. Some things were meant to be.

"You've still got some skill, He-Man," Skeletor cackled. "But so have I!"

Though the initial charge knocks him back, he recovers quickly, bringing up his staff again, conjuring chains from thin air to wrap around Hal.

Thankfully, one of the enchantments on the bloodaxe lets it cut through a lot of things it shouldn't, including dimensional barriers and constructs of magic. While Skeletor's previous attacks struck home, this time, he slashes the chains apart before they can entangle him.

Skeletor's "eyes" went wide. "You... you're not supposed to be able to do that!"

"I'm full of surprises." Hal responds with a grin. He's not sure how the skullface with no eyelids got all wide-eyed, but it was fun to watch.

"Then I'll just have to destroy you harder!" Skeletor cackled, regaining some of his confidence. He fired more blasts from his staff.

The first blast is deflected, but the second hits squarely. Skeletor's sorcery is still potent. There's a reason he's the big bad.

Staggered by that, he takes a second, then a third shot. A low growl builds in his throat, and Halbjorn rushes again, swinging the axe after bulling his way through a couple more shots, taking the hits to the lead shoulder.

The axe blow hits home, knocking Skeletor off his feet and sending him crashing to the ground.

"I don't remember you being this... angry, He-Man," he growled. "But I'm not... I'm not beaten yet!"

He stamped his staff on the ground, causing roots to grow wildly and try to entangle Hal.

Halbjorn was definitely not expecting that. He tears away the first growths, and more take their place. He fights an arm free, letting him swing the axe to clear him some ground - still adcanving, but its slow going now.

Notably, he's not talking anymore.

Skeletor, meanwhile, is being somewhat slow on the uptake.

"What? No witty quip about good prevailing? You're off your game, He-Man!"

He continued to command the growths.

For a few moments, the vines prevail, wrapping up Hal and causing him to disappear in their midst.

There's a roar, carrying well over the muffling effects of the tangles, and then between the axe and a burst of raw strength, vines go flying every which way.

Its not "I say thee nay!", but it'll do.

Fear began to enter Skeletor's voice, and he fired almost randomly.

"You... you can't do that!"

One of the shots grazes him, leaving a burned streak across one arm, but it doesn't slow him any. He swings again in a wide overhead arc, going for power.

Skeletor barely managed to step back, tripping over his own feet in the process, hitting the ground hard. His staff dropped from his hands, clattering to the ground.

"Stay... stay back!"

Halbjorn, thankfully, is not totally gone yet. There's still some intelligence behind his eyes - enough that he remembers time after time after time the director explaining to him that He-Man doesn't just chop Skeletor's head off.

The reasoning makes no sense, but its story - and it seems important. As such, in that limited haze, that's what occurs to him.

So instead of a finishing chop, he steps on the staff to keep it out of Skeletor's hands, reaches down to pick him up by the throat, and throws him as far as he can over or through whatever obstacles are in the way. Presumably off into the sequel somewhere.

As Skeletor disappeared from sight, he could be heard to scream out, "I'll get you next time, He-Man! NEEEEEEEEXT TIIIIIIMEEEE!"
