Meme: Black Sheep (Michael and Frances)
Two longnecks appeared on the bar and Frances grinned, handing over enough cash to cover and snagging before someone stole her drinks. Like a salmon fighting a stream full of other sweaty salmon, she cut her way free of the crowd to find her drinking partner for the night. "Two milk stouts: none of the hops, a slightly chocolate milky taste."

She grinned broadly when he caught on. "As long as the bartender is feeling generous and someone's being bragging too much. This isn't a good place for people that can't back up the talk. I tend to go with wide-eyed spectator, but feel free improvise."

"I'll try my best," Mike said with a grin.

Frances slid up to the bar and smiled her best at the bartender, who scowled back pointedly. "Aw come on, don' be like that, Jacob, she only wanted you for free drinks. I even brought you a new booze sponge," she replied and gestured to Michael. "Anybody here needing fleecing?"

Mike slid up to the bar next to her and didn't say a word. He'd let her take the lead here. This was her turf.

Frances coaxed Jacob out of his sulk, playing sorry and simple. Finally he nodded to a loud corner, two bags of hot air showing off on the tables. She looked over her shoulder and to Michael for any complaints. "Okay gimme a ridiculously girly drink." The bartender had an evil look on his face and returned with something in a hurricane glass and neon green. Frances recoiled at the sight of it and made a face. "You are cruel."

Mike just laughed. "You asked for it," he said. "May I please have a boilermaker?"

Jacob gave Michael an approving nod before picking up the appropriate glassware. Frances looked at him as well, but with a sour, childish face. "Traitor. I'll have diabetes before a buzz." Treating it like a slimy toad, she gingerly picked up the glass. "Well at least I'll look like a complete airheaded spectator. It'll be easy to get into their table, and then we mop them up?"

"Sounds like a plan," Mike said. "I'm following your lead."

"Right. Airheads assemble." She blew out a long breath and headed to where the peacocks were swaggering around and blustering. Time to look impressed with mouth-breathing.

Mike grinned and followed her. This ought to be entertaining.

Sidling up to the crowd, Frances watched the scene for a while and made amazed compliments to the. When the game was over (and it could have been shorted by four rounds if they had any skill), she piped up with a stupid giggle to wanna try the game too.

"Are you sure you want to do that?" Mike asked her. "Have you ever played before?"

"Well they make it look so easy," she admitted, sibilant for effect. "It can't be that hard. You come to to make it evensies?"

"I'm not that good, but I'll still play," he said. "We're just here to have some fun."

"That's right, just some fun!" she beamed at the two marks and you could see their plotting expressions grow. She came around the table and gripped the cue like a baseball bat. "Do we pick the colors now or after we hit them?" Oh yeah, boys, easy money just humor the drunk kids...

Mike watched her with some amusement. He could tell she did this on a semi-regular basis. She had the act down and played the part a little too well.

Frances caught Michael's eye and winked when no one was looking. She limped through her first round, hitting the ball wildly out to the left and nearly scratching. With a pout, she put a ten down for not hitting anything.

Mike watched and tried to hide his amusement. Frances was fun to hang out with. He'd have to make it a point to go out with her more often.

While the two idiots bragged and got rounds, Frances leaned over to Michael. "I actually had to aim off the table for that last one. Shall put them out of their misery?" she asked and waggled her eyebrows.

She nodded back and elbowed him lightly. "Don't want you getting bored, is all. That'd be counter-productive."

Mike chuckled and watched her go back to the table. She really did have a nice butt. He sipped his drink while he watched her play.

She smiled idiotically at the two marks and kept going along with the con. Playing dumb got dull, so she started glancing their balls juuust out of alignment. "Whoops!"
