The Brink
Vincent woke up, and instinctively smiled, already knowing what day it was without having to think twice. It was his birthday. More than that, it was his eighteenth birthday. Perhaps not so great a deal in the Asgard of his birth ~~or the Latveria of his father~~, but here, in the country he had made his home, it meant a great deal. He had high hopes for the day.

There had been that miserable little worm of a thought that Kristoff was no longer legally expected to look after him, but that was routinely quashed each time it came up.

"Stop that right now. Apologies are absolutely unnecessary." Vincent says firmly, but he's clearly concerned, not angry. He sips his water and takes one of her hands across the table.

"You know I don't mind waiting... well, obviously on a physical level waiting isn't my preference, but I don't want you doing anything that won't be just as enjoyable for you; and of course only if you're ready for it in the first place."

He seems vaguely embarassed. "I know some people tend to be more... emotionally invested in that particular act than I've been."

	So far as someone saying they were looking forward to being intimate with him, anyone else would have gotten a rather self-confident bordering on snide reply from Vincent. Not Andrea. "Catch-22, dear." Vincent banters back. "Depending on how thorough and frequent the testing was, some might hesitate to still deem you a lady." He grins, enjoying playing with her.

"You know.. I like this." He rubs her hand. "Being able to have 'fights' where you keep me on the offensive. None of the other girls I socialized with were ever able to challenge me like that."
