I'll Be Home For Christmas
Anya walked into her apartment and immediate dropped the computer bag slung over a shoulder. Finals were over. The semester was over and she was a free woman until mid-January. Now it was time to go home. Home. The word never sounded so good. She wanted to see her parents, her siblings, her friends and Steve. She had a whole month ahead of her of being surrounded by the people she loved. It sounded perfect.

She went to her desktop and brought up Amtrak’s homepage and looked at the schedule. With any luck she’d be able to get a train that left in a few hours and be home by dinner time. Jarvis’ cooking was waiting for her along with her own bed.

Once a train ticket was purchased she went about packing her bags.

	"Yeah I know," she said. "I'm behind in tormenting you. Hold on, someone's at the door." She walked over to the door and looked out the peephole. That bastard! 	He stepped in and wow, messy. Some things stayed reassuringly the same. "I got a pass from Xavier. He says it's likely I'm no longer more dangerous than usual to Romanova women, so Mom gave me your address and suggested you might like a little company for the trip home." 	"It wasn't me. The only time she bothers to talk to me is when she thinks she needs an upgrade." Anya grabbed her computer bag and tossed it on the bed next to the laundry bag. "Knowing Darlene, she's probably listening to the radio. You should. She deserves it." Anya grinned. The fact that Darlene hassled him thrilled her beyond belief.

"Unfortunately she probably did get one and will probably go." Truth be told, Anya had been so busy with school that she had managed to put Auntie way back in the back of her mind. "Dad hasn't met her yet and probably will at the charity ball. Should be interesting to see and we'll have front row seats."

	Misha's sense of fair play was offended by a first meeting with that woman happening out in public, but given the people involved, it probably wouldn't be the worst anything done in front of that many witnesses.
