Two Birds of a Feather

The warmth of the sun beat down on Gabriel's back as he flew high into the sky.  He'd had a few days to process the information Leech had given him about his mother.  She had... captured his father and brainwashed him into having relations with her.  To his very core, Gabriel was displeased with the actions his mother had taken int he past.  And to make matters worse, Gabriel's vision of starting a relationship with his long lost father had shattered.  Additionally, he had a sister.  "Should I tell her?" he asked himself as he reached somewhere around ten thousand feet above sea level.

He waves to the pair, glad to see he was right about someone else finding her first.

Lyta gave him a small smile, waving back with the hand that wasn't holding Misha's.

"Hey, don't want to bother you two. Lyta, when you get some time, and you're up for it though, I'd like to borrow a few minutes of your time, if I might? No rush."

"No bother," Misha said with a smile. "She's about worn out her torture with me. It can be your turn."

Lyta nodded. "It's no bother at all, Lucas." She's calmed down since a couple of hours ago. If he'd come to her then, she would've probably told him to piss off.

He nods. This is part of what he wanted to find out. If she'd told him to piss off, he'd have taken it with his usual calm. "If you're sure? Mostly I just wanted to make sure you were doing alright for now. I met Gabriel."

Her grip on Misha's hand may have tightened just a bit. "Yeah," she said, looking down at the ground. "I was little shaken at first. I'm feeling better now." She then looked up, giving him a concerned look. "How is he doing? I was a little....harsh."

"He was pretty shaken, its a difficult time and situation for him. Especially with a kid and no one else really to turn to. We talked for a while, and if its alright with you, he's going to stick around for a while. He also understood your reaction, its entirely understandable on both your parts."

Lyta bit her lip. She didn't know he had a kid.... "At least I didn't scare him off completely when I reacted."

"No, and I didn't come here to chastise you, I hope you're not taking it that way. He was very understanding of your reaction. He reacted pretty much the same way when he found out. Its only been a few days for him too. He's also worried about you. I told him I'd help all I can though in smoothing things out and getting through a rough patch. Don't hesitate to ask if there's anything I can help you with, either."

Lyta gave him a small smile. "I think I can talk to him now," she said, "Apologize for the way I reacted and try to work something out. Thank you, Lucas."

"You're my friend. I'm happy to help out where I can. I think you'll find, tough as the situation is, that working something out is entirely doable. He's a nice guy, just kind of lonely. Let me know if I can help with anything, ok?"

She nodded. "I will. Again, thank you."
