Catfights All Over The Place!
"They sense us, we have no more time to delay." The magus seated himself on the forest floor. Their numbers had gathered, and they were ready to retrieve the chosen one. The others would not let her go without a fight though. They would need to be isolated.

He reached a clawed hand into a deerskin pouch, retrieving a handful of small bones and scattering them across the circle he had seated himself in. He chanted under his breath, calling on not only the primal spirits, but the collective energy of his people. Slitted eyes came into focus, showing a youth of mind that the grayed fur around his face obscured.

"Scatter."

He, and those around the circle, vanished.

~~~
A wave of magical energy came towards the Xavier Institute like a tidal wave, a roar to those who could perceive it. It came through the walls and struck at Chris and those around her. They all vanished from sight, reappearing in various locations. They would each find an opponent waiting for them as well.
The invaders... well, there was no way around it, they looked like Chris. From ears to tail, they were built on the same model as her hybrid form. A mix of colors, ages, and body-types, but they were fighting a bunch of cat-people.
The one standing before Corey seems robust, by human standards at least, his fur dusty and caked with dirt or moss here and there.
"Hello, little monkey. You're the one that whispers with the earth, aren't you?" There's a gleam in his feline eyes as he crouches and places his palms on the ground.
Corey quickly kicks off his shoes, squaring his feet more on the ground.
"You could put it that way."
"The mother below us does not just speak to me..." The ground suddenly goes concave below the male, sinking him down by a foot. "..but through me."
The earth then surges around Corey, moving to enclose him in a dome.
"Did you honestly just say 'Mommy likes me best'?"
Mostly, Corey's insulted. Species snobbery is one thing, but anyone that smug about a 'superior' personal relationship with the earth could use some smacking his his opinion. He focused on getting the oncoming rush of ground to settle.
The male seems flustered and horribly indignant at that retort, and he snarls, entering into a tug of war with the bits of land reshaping themselves.
Corey just focuses all his concentration on calming, still not trying an attack of his own but just on maintaining stability.
The calm in his opponent just seems to upset him more. After feeling out the naked one's energy, he abruptly reverses the flow, sending the ground around Corey into chaos.
The annoyance of passive resistance is two-thirds of the point of passive resistance. From a certain point of view.
Corey's knocked off balance, which always make things difficult for him. The sudden magically-counteractive long-distance hand from Lucas helps, though, and soon he's up and with a handle on the matter again.
The druid wobbles a bit, the earth beneath him snapping back into place, before he regains himself, he pulls something from a pocket in his tunic and hurls it at Corey's feet. A seed pod bursts open, vines leaping out at the other boy.
