Catfights All Over The Place!
"They sense us, we have no more time to delay." The magus seated himself on the forest floor. Their numbers had gathered, and they were ready to retrieve the chosen one. The others would not let her go without a fight though. They would need to be isolated.

He reached a clawed hand into a deerskin pouch, retrieving a handful of small bones and scattering them across the circle he had seated himself in. He chanted under his breath, calling on not only the primal spirits, but the collective energy of his people. Slitted eyes came into focus, showing a youth of mind that the grayed fur around his face obscured.

"Scatter."

He, and those around the circle, vanished.

~~~
A wave of magical energy came towards the Xavier Institute like a tidal wave, a roar to those who could perceive it. It came through the walls and struck at Chris and those around her. They all vanished from sight, reappearing in various locations. They would each find an opponent waiting for them as well.
The invaders... well, there was no way around it, they looked like Chris. From ears to tail, they were built on the same model as her hybrid form. A mix of colors, ages, and body-types, but they were fighting a bunch of cat-people.
The cat people may know magic, but in the Astral, and in the dream realm, very few can match Lucas' presence. He shifts around the push, almost like a spiritual aikido, allowing pressure to go where it wishes, and just moving elsewhere. Feeling the elder speaking, he responds mentally, just as calmly.
"I don't care about your skill. You are denying another being their free will and mind. No matter your intent or lack of wish to harm her, that makes you kidnappers. You have neither the right, nor any room to speak to me of honor. If there is something you wish of Chris Grant-Pym, come and speak to her and us openly, or accept that you have no honor and no right here." he replies, continuing to trace where they're going.
The elder is surprised at Lucas' ability, and intrigue washes through him like a child seeing a new toy. It can wait though. He has other priorities. His people and their will must always come first.
"I'm sorry, but I have no time. The chosen one must come with us now, before time takes it's toll upon her. I cannot go against the will of my people. She will be unharmed, as will you and your pack. There will be no bloodshed, only transformation."
He abates in his attempt to drive out Lucas, settling for placing Chris in a deeper sleep, where her dream-state is weaker, and returning his focus to his physical form, moving more quickly for the woods.
Lucas can't stop him from there, but the guy said the magic words. 'will of his people, chosen one, transformation' - no wonder they were following Chris, and trying not to harm her.
Lucas actually reinforces what the chieftan is doing, guiding her subconscious even deeper. Perhaps if even they with their magic have trouble waking her up and dragging her out of her dreams it will buy the X-Men a few more minutes.
He returns to his body and focuses on defending the others from the cat people's magic to help them in their fights so they can regroup, while speaking calmly over the comms,
"They've taken Chris. I can follow them as long as she's asleep, but we need to hurry."
