Syd had been in the kitchen busy with setting out the food when she realized it was WHITE outside. Snow. They had made it snow. Okay, so babysitting godlings had some benefits.
Syd dropped what she was doing and went out to enjoy the white fluffy snow. It was the first time in her life she had seen it.
