"Simon," she said and moved her shoulder a little to wake him up a bit. She hoped. "Let's get you tucked in bed before you fall asleep." Too late. He was asleep and she couldn't move. Mothering instincts took over and temptation faded. Those were a lot safer.
Syd shuffled to the side and Simon started to fall. Syd tried to slow his fall onto the couch, but there was no way she could. Well, he was laying down. Sort of. She stood up and tried to get his legs up onto the couch.
With a lot of grunting and effort, she somehow managed to get his legs up on the couch. She grabbed a blanket off the back and put it over him. She looked down at him for a moment, placed a kiss on his cheek and then headed off to her room.
