X-Men vs Honor Guard
At Elder Shadow's command, the honor guard threw themselves forward as the Ritual of Transformation began and the crowds pulled back. As light poured down from the cavern's ceiling onto the altar where Chris lay, each of the guard members chose an opponent.

"And you're a kid too! You're barely even of mating age for you pink-skins!" He points a finger at her.

Torn Ear blinks, as if it were obvious.

"The Ritual of Transformation... it's going to make you all like us. We'll all be one race, and you'll be able to hear the earth talk to you again. That's going to solve everything, so we can all live together....."

Only a supreme act of will kept Rachel from facepalming.

"Uh..." she began, carefully. "I really don't think that's going to work. You can't just change people like that, against their will. They won't like it."

She sighed. "And it won't solve anything. Humans are all the same species and they can't get along with each other at all."
