Kristoff gains a little more altitude, the screens and shielding ready on his armor. While he does not know what the Something coming is, he can tell there's something. But he doesn't divert /every/ available system to readiness. He has to /try/ to get past this creature to get to Cassandra, so there's an electrical blast.
