The Big Finale!
The brides were clad in white and lined up in front of the altar. A semi-circle of priests stood behind the brides and were chanting. The magic in the air became more powerful as the priests chanted. A small circle appeared in the air before the brides and started to get bigger.

Standing behind the priests was a large group of deviants. They were witnessing the rebirth of their god into the mortal realm. It was an honor and privilege to be witness to this historic moment.

Svalin was a little disorientated after the teleportation and it felt like she was going to get sick. She looked around. They were literally inside the core of the sun, but they were unharmed.

There was a figure not far from them.

"Well met, Atum. I art Svalin Thorsdottir." It was polite to introduce oneself.

Brodok kept the human looking deviants close. They were watching the ritual to bring their god back into the mortal realm. Soon their forces and their god will go to the surface and once again rule the Earth. The humans would once again bow down in servitude to the deviants as they once did ages ago.

Iason leads the way through the deep waters, serving as the first sign of the Avengers' approach. He's sensed the Deviants well before he gets there, and heads directly for the strongest signature ahead, not slowing down in the least.

Rashtak stood close to Skromm and waited and watched. She was ready to assist with the magics necessary to bring their god back into the world. She eyed the brides. Skromm was leading the ritual, but if something were to happen, something bad, then Rashtak could be tapped to lead the ritual. She eyed the brides. Just one getting free would disrupt things enough to cause Skromm to lose face.

James came with the Avengers. Looking through the files from the Avengers last trip to Lemuria, there were access tubes that made getting there easier. Once they arrived in the city, James was out of the Quinjet as quick as possible and his shield was ready to go.

Dosschok stood not far from Skromm and watched the ritual. His arms were folded across his chest and his axe hung at his side. He and Skarpirus were guarding Skromm. There were some who would love to see the priest fall from grace.

Franklin took his fight close to the main man in charge. But of course, there were always pawns in the way. Going directly into the fight, Franklin launched a powerful telekinetic blast at Dosschok.

Leeg stood at the edge of the monster form deviant's group and watched. His disruptor pistol was in one hand and his sword in the other. He wanted to be on the surface using both weapons.

Misha was cloaked and sending all available power to his blasts. He started at the edge with the first ugly he saw, setting down a blast pattern to run right over its pincushion face.

Gooth was kind of confused to exactly what was going on, but it had to be important if the priests were doing something. He stood and watched and waited for the priests to tell him what to do.

Cait was tired by the time they reached the city. She had kept a bubble of air around the blackbird and was tired from using her powers so much. Stil, she wasn't going to stand by. Not while her friends are being held.

She charged ahead, water lashing out in razor sharp tentacles.

Veroos stood not far from Grekk. He eyed the commander as they stood and watched the ritual. As soon as they were on the surface and in battle, Grekk would fall. Veroos would then command the forces to victory.

Never one to take the easy or standard path, Lucas remains back as far as he may, trusting Danielle and the others to protect him while he slips into the astral, trying to bypass the fight, and begin challenging the magics of the ritual directly.
In specific, he reaches for Moira's mind, trying to enter her dreams as she's enspelled to sleep, trying to find a way to wake her and the other brides before the ritual can be completed.

Running puts her in position to witness a peculiar scene. Skromm's chanting slows, and most of the others break from the ritual entirely, either gaping at the escapee, or into panic - Set will not be pleased by this, and when not pleased, their deity tends to eat the summoners, if he comes at all.

The gateway wavers as Aslief is forced back. Two bloodied heads emerge with Halbjorn clinging, bloody but tenacious, to one of them while flailing with his axe while the two maws work to consume him.

The others try and force their way through as well, as the gate barely remains open, forcing the elder god to divide his focus, trying to fight through the disrupted magic.

And then something else takes hold. Demogorge emerges within his brother's realm, clutching to the tail and starting to draw Set back through the portal. As Demogorge does so, he begins to tap the wellsprings of divine energy all about, trying to reach for more power - what he has isn't enough.

But he does not take indiscriminately, the godlings witnessing the battle, and Vincent Amorason likewise, gain some knowledge of what it is he asks - their lifeforce will give him the strength to battle Set, and scatter him once again, but it must be freely given.

Lucas gets to the fore as quickly as possible. "Get the wounded together. Anyone with first aid training, try and assess the worst injuries and give them priority, treat who you can. I can help the people with the most severe injuries."
