The Big Finale!
The brides were clad in white and lined up in front of the altar. A semi-circle of priests stood behind the brides and were chanting. The magic in the air became more powerful as the priests chanted. A small circle appeared in the air before the brides and started to get bigger.

Standing behind the priests was a large group of deviants. They were witnessing the rebirth of their god into the mortal realm. It was an honor and privilege to be witness to this historic moment.

Still in real time, and with no more focus on Rachel and Sammy, Franklin creates a telekinetic shield between himself and the gas, which he pushes back on Skarpirus. He hopes to close off the shield as a bubble around her body, causing her gas to consume her in a major backfire. The building Franklin had prepared was still at the ready, and he continued to fix his aim for when he needed it.

Sammy let the time freeze just before it released on its own and finished dragging Rachel to safety. She put her down with less care and more speed, apologizing as she did.

"Listen to me, are you going to be okay here alone?"

Skarprius' own acidic breath weapon has no effect on her. She pressed on toward the blond now that the redhead was gone.

Franklin was anticipating her flight, and the speed she moved. The building he had been aiming came flying in, intedning to knock her into the ground. As he did this, Franklin also initiated a mental assault on Skarpirus. He levitated slightly to ease the pain on his shins, which were still bleeding from the cuts Dosschok had given him.

Skarprius didn't see the building until the last second, but she was agile and managed to avoid most of the hit. She was knocked aside, but deviant toughness kept her from being too hurt.

She didn't give up though. She charged once more.

Franklin dropped the building to focus himself on more precise attacks. Skarpirus was very quick, and Franklin found himself now trying to access her mind while throwing his hand forward with a telekinetic blast. She had seen his do it before, so she had a better chance now of knowing what he was doing. 'I will defeat you.'

Skarprius yelled and had been expecting the blast. She dropped very quickly and the main part of the blast went over her head. She kept charging the blond. Her hands were out and claws ready.

Franklin was bewildered when she so easily evaded his telekinetic blast, and was unable to fully react before Skarpirus' hand ran straight through his body, just beside his left shoulder. In shock, he gasped and shouted in pain. His eyes spread wide open, and he made a desperate grab for Skarpirus' head with his right hand.

Should contact have been made with her head, Franklin's psionic powers would have been unrestrained in an assault on her brain. Psionic blasts that would more than kill any human being were used in the assauly. Again, only if his right hand should connect with her head.

Skarprius twisted when he tried to grab her head. His hand ended up on the side of her face. She yelled when the psionic blast hit.

He pumped the psionic waves in even more, and with greater intensity. Her yelling was matched by his own. With his own survival on the line, Franklin had no intention of letting up on the attack. He was too afraid, and too angry, to let her free. By the end of Franklin's mental assault, Skarpirus would be lucky to manage a thought.

And he also knew that after this, he would be out of the fight himself. He had to make this count now.

Skarprius knew she was in trouble and she made a last ditch effort to defeat this kid. She inhaled and let loose an acidic cloud and twisted her claws in him. Poison pumped out into the blond's system.

He saw her inhale, and he barely managed to create a shield to re-direct her acidic cloud away from him in time. Some of it clung against the side of his face, as he had turned it in response to the twisting of her claws in his body. And he did feel the effect of the poison, like Rachel had when she had fallen prey to it. But Franklin refused to allow himself to fall in battle.

"FALL, GODDAMNIT!"

His psionic assault continued.

Skarprius had one last thought. Pull back. And she did. Claws came out of him and she staggered backwards.

Franklin fell to his knees and looked at Skarpirus with eyes half open. His hand remained raised and held at her, and he fired one last telekinetic blast at her face.

Franklin fell forward, and with his last concious thought he called for Sammy. 'I think I need some help, Sammy.' And then he was out cold.

Sammy winced when the thought hit her. She detoured back around to get Franklin before something tried to make a meal of him.

She didn't exactly expect to find him out cold on the ground with Skarprius nearby. They were both showing battle damage. He was too big for her to help out like she had Rachel. She'd have to drag him for a ways first and save time against an immediate need.
