It does hurt. Very much. Slipping away again feels so very right. But she steels herself and keeps listening. Somewhere in all the confusion and discomfort and effort is a little bristling pride that of course her heritage is going to help; the Wolves of Asgard don't knuckle under easily. But she doesn't have time to think much about it as she just tries to concentrate on not slipping away.
