On the coast, Lucas has a circle drawn in the sand where he's working. Nearby there's a staging area for those with medical training to assess the injured and sort out types of injuries. The poisons aren't entirely natural, tied in somehow to this dark magic, but its also at least based on snake toxins, something he can work with - its also dangerous enough that the poisoned are being pushed up the line of injured first, barring someone on death's door.
Despite his own fatigue, Lucas is a blur of energy, chanting all the while, save when he absolutely has to respond to someone. He has a few small clay pots filled with some sort of pigments, which he colors wounds and injuries with gently, before painting the mix of blood and pigment on his own skin in the same spot as the injury. Each time he does, a wound fades slightly, bleeding stops, and poisons are brought to the surface, while a fresh looking scar from the same type of wound appears on the marked spot on the shaman.
