Family Affairs pt. 2.
After looking over the damaged cameras with Cassandra, Kristoff hadn't quite been able to prove there'd been tampering with the imagery, but there'd been progress. When Scott Lang Sr. was out of questioning, Scott Lang Jr. was put to bed, and Cassie needed time to think, Kristoff had headed first for the lab, where he'd distracted himself tweaking his armor's new voice-recognition and signal-reception systems for a while. Then he'd headed for the skies, testing out the latter...catching radio signals from the Balkans. ...A slightly problematic 'distraction' technique, really.

He landed in a nice out-of-the way spot, where one could almost pretend one could see the stars.

"He will be my spearhead." Doom pounds electrically charged fists against Kristoff's shield. "He will prove himself to Doom by crushing Doom's enemies... or die trying."

"...Never, Sir."
For someone who had his identity mechanically subordinated as a child by someone he loved and trusted, along with a few other things here and there, Kristoff wasn't really capable of holding a real grudge against Doom. So he'd been used; at least he'd been useful. The closest he ever got to a grudge against the Master of Latveria was when he saw Vincent's reactions to the reminder or apparent threat of Doom.

And hearing Vincent callously spoken of as a weapon, as a tool, brought on a horrified rage that, well, made Kristoff stop paying attention to shield maintenance so he could just get up and hurl himself at Doom, gathering as much of a charge as he could, his face already a little wet, his systems already reacting badly to the charged attacks, his fear no substitute for confidence.

"Foolish, boy." Doom moved with surprising speed, evading Kristoff's attack and extending both his arms, palms on either side of the younger man's head.

"Very foolish." He released a sonic pulse designed to incapacitate, but not kill, with maximum discomfort.

Kristoff, unable to properly avoid the attack, crumpled to the ground first in pain, then unconsciousness.
