In general, Lavinia thought Rider was a dick. She had pretty much as long as they'd been friends, and they'd been friends for a long time. He'd never really treated Pyxis the way she -- anyone in any kind of relationship -- deserved to be treated. He had at least texted her to tell her he and Pyxis had broken up.

Lavinia showed up at Pyxis's house, even if it was kind of late, with a bag of comfort food and also some booze. She'd never done the breakup thing before. She wasn't sure what Pyxis would want. She walked into Pyxis's room, past the hall of sheets, into her bedroom, and gave her a sad smile, holding up the bag of treats and whiskey bottle. "I heard."

Pyxis was laying in bed, not doing anything in particular. She was kind of staring at the ceiling as some music from the forties blared in the background. She almost didn't notice that Lavinia had came into her room.

Glancing at her, she sighed and sat up, turning off her music. "Yeah. So there's that." She told her, shrugging.

Pyxis laughed at that and looked Lavinia over carefully. "You're just saying that because you're my friend. I'm onto your game, Miss Riddle." She kissed her friend's cheek and rested back against her pillow.

Lavinia looked at the surprise kitten and grinned. "Oh my God, he's adorable," she said, sitting up again so she could get a better look at him. "I want to be friends with Walden. I want a cat."

Pyxis looked back at Lavinia for a moment and then nodded. "Yes. Just friends." She told him with a shrug. "I went to celebrate with him because we both got accepted to a fancy school."
