Pyxis didn't like that Walden was in the room across the hall with Romy all curled up with him. She was probably sitting on his face like the little whore she was. But, Pyxis had Dudley. So, she didn't need to think about Walden or how good his tongue felt on her body. And she definitely didn't need to think about the quiet sex they'd had to have when his mother and gran were in the hall.

She focused her attention on Dudley. The boy laying in the bed with her who was so sweet, even if he was listening to rubbish music and looking at a magazine. He was kind of adorable in his own way. The way he gave her awful sexy faces and always looked so smug.

"So.." Pyxis turned her head to look at him. "What do you want to do now?"

Pyxis was out of breath and dazed and happy. So relieved to have come. She closed her eyes and rested her forehead against the wall, letting him hold her there. It felt different to be with Walden than it did Dudley. She liked the way that Walden took charge, even if he'd been a virgin when she'd met him.

She closed her eyes and enjoyed the kissing for a long moment, then made a soft noise. "We're going to have to move at some point."

Being with Pyxis was different from being with Romy. He didn't worry about her as much. He always knew she liked things because she showed him with every little movement of her body. Pyxis was so open and alive and her body demanded everything from him without Walden having to ask.

He kissed her neck again. "We could watch the telly," Walden offered, keeping his voice soft. "Turn the volume down low."

Why was he doing this? They had to be just friends. She closed her eyes for a moment, then nodded before she slipped from beneath him and turned to look at him. This was such a bad idea.

"Okay." Pyxis agreed. "Just let me put on some knickers and I'll come in and watch with you." She turned and left him, taking a deep breath, feeling so conflicted about everything she was doing.

Pyxis ran a hand through her hair and then walked back through to the sitting room, plopping down onto the couch beside him without saying a word.

Walden had switched on some old American television program, but he was only half paying attention to it when Pyxis walked in. He smiled at her, even if she wasn't talking to him. Walden did feel guilty about fucking her. He knew it wasn't right that they were cheating on Romy and Dudley. He liked Romy and Dudley both a lot. It just... felt good.

"I bought some kale," he said, after a moment. "I was thinking tomorrow I'd make kale chips. Dudley doesn't like them much, but I thought you might."

Pyxis smiled at that and nodded. "Yeah. That sounds really good." She promised him as she watched the people fighting on the telly. Sometimes reality television was great. And amusing.

She brought her knees up to her chest and wrapped her arms around them, glancing at Walden. "We can't do that again." She told him quietly. "You've got a girlfriend and I've got a boyfriend now."

"I know," Walden said, looking down at his hands. "I know it wasn't right. I care about both of them. Dudley's my best friend and Romy's great. She's beautiful. I know I'm lucky to have her."

He reached out, tucking a bit of Pyxis's hair behind her ear. "Dudley is really lucky to have you." Walden pulled his hand back, looking at the television again. "Just friends," he said firmly. "I can do that."

Pyxis glanced at him and sighed softly, moving over so she could lean against him. She did want him as a friend, but she wasn't sure they were going to be able to pull it off. They were too perfect for each other, at least sexually. When their bodies met it was like electric and she was really going to miss that.

"Just friends." She nodded in turn, looking up at him. "Just... try to be more quiet when you have sex. Or turn on music or something. It's kind of gross to think about you banging her."

Walden wrapped an arm around Pyxis's shoulders, giving her a soft smile. He was going to have to avoid running into her in dark hallways. He kissed her cheek. "Do me a favour and do the same with Dudley," he said. "I could hear you."

He rubbed her arm, looking at the telly again. "I'll put music on. Maybe we can go to Romy's place sometimes so we're not around you and Dudley as much. I think Walden's partner wanted me to come over more."

Pyxis chewed at her bottom lip and nodded. "Rabastan probably really likes you. He's the reason Walden took in Rider and Rooney at first. They were just kids back then. I've heard the story a lot from Rider and Rabastan. At some point along the way, Walden actually became a really good father."

She played with a bit of her hair, watching the television. "You're lucky, you know. To have a good father." She glanced at him. "You are being safe with Romy, aren't you? She's not on the pill like I am."

"He's not really my father," Walden said firmly, shaking his head. "He seems like a nice enough man now, but he still raped my mother to impregnate her with me. I respect my mother too much to call him my father. I would like to get to know him and Rabastan and their children better though."

He ran his fingers through his hair. "I -- um -- I'll start being safe with her now," Walden promised.

"Everyone deserves forgiveness. I know what he did is not right at all, but he was seventeen. He was young and stupid." Pyxis shrugged, looking up at Walden. "I think if I were to be raped by someone my age and we grew up and that person changed, I'd be able to forgive them. Even if it was a horrendous act."

She chewed at her bottom lip, braiding a piece of her hair. "Just.... If she does get pregnant, take a paternity test." Pyxis told him, giving him a serious look. "The reason Rider and I broke up is because I slept with you and he slept with her. She cheated on you."

"it's not my place to forgive him or not. It's my mother's," Walden said, shaking his head. "I'm not going to forgive him on her behalf when I know she's not ready for him to be forgiven yet. She didn't want me dating Romy because Romy is his daughter."

Walden frowned when Pyxis told him Romy had cheated. "I --" He frowned. "I guess I can't say anything about that. I've been cheating on her. Okay." He kissed Pyxis's forehead. "I'll make sure to have her take a test if she does."

"I didn't say you had to forgive him for her." Pyxis pointed out, looking up at him. "I was giving you my opinion about your mother's feelings. I know what happened to her was horrible. I know I can't imagine how horrible it was, but I don't think she should complain too much. She got you out of the deal and I happen to know that you're just about the most amazing person I know."

She looked away from him after the compliment and chewed at her bottom lip. Saying that out loud was a bad idea and she should have thought it through better.

Walden smiled when Pyxis said he was amazing. He pulled her a bit closer to his chest. "I think you're amazing too, Pyxis," he said, kissing her temple. "And... I mean, I know we're going to be really good friends. We can work on forgetting all the other stuff that happened between us and really getting to know each other well."

He combed his fingers through her hair. "You deserve that. Someone who'll be okay being a friend from you. Who doesn't want sex. I'll be that person."

"I don't think that people really think of me as just a friend." Pyxis admitted when she thought about it, staring down at Walden's chest, just to have somewhere else to focus that wasn't his face. She reached up and touched his chest hair, then sighed softly.

"Even my best friend Lavinia wasn't capable of just being my friend." She pointed out. "She was in love with me. We had sex. I had to set her up with another girl."

"I don't think I've met Lavinia," he said. "We should have a housewarming party and invite all your friends over. And... Romy's friends, I guess, since Dudley and I don't know anyone yet."
