Merlin felt very content with Draco as his boyfriend again. And he'd become very happy with the way his life was going, even if he was working at a diner to try and support himself. He was working very hard on getting things that he needed and making sure that his bills were paid, even if Lucius was still paying most of them. One day, he'd have to repay the man for everything he'd given him, despite everything else.

But, Merlin had finally saved up the money he'd been trying to save since before he and Draco had broken up to buy him the ring he'd wanted to get for Draco. Even if they couldn't get married right now, he wanted the other boy to have it. He had it hidden in his pocket as he walked into the flat, smiling at Draco. "Did you cook dinner?"

	"It doesn't have to be much." Tullah promised him with a large smile as she took Draco's arm and began to lead him through the store. She picked up a plate and looked at him. "What sort of thing do you and Merlin need for the house?" Merlin laughed as he watched Draco being led off by Tullah, then looked at Arnie. "That's just adorable." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Draco looked back at Merlin as he was led away. He didn't want to be separated from him. "I -- I don't know," he said, trying to think of something small. It wasn't like money was really a problem. Draco tended to just sneak things they needed in after he bought them with his trust fund. "We don't have people over very often. I mean, we do, but we don't have dinner parties or anything."

"Your fiance looks worried," Arnie said, laughing as he watched Tullah showing Draco a plate. He pat Merlin on the shoulder. "Does this mean you've accepted the offer to come work for us?"

"Well. Dinner parties are overrated anyway, aren't they?" Tullah smiled at the boy and shook her head. "Arnie and I were never big on having them either. What about this?" She asked, pointing to a large, antique cupboard.

"He was worried until he got here. I brought him here so he wouldn't be as jealous." Merlin laughed to himself. "I think he thought you were hitting on me and wanted to make sure you weren't going to steal me away."

Draco blinked at the cupboard for a moment. That was not nearly as small as a plate. "That -- I mean, it's a Victorian cupboard with its original finish. We couldn't take that. You could get a couple thousand for that easy. We have a similar one in the manor. We don't can't take that. Maybe we will take a plate."

Arnie chuckled at that. "You're a bit young for me," he said, patting Merlin's arm. "Even if I did like men. We need more young faces around here. You'll help us attract a younger clientele and Tullah has already taken a shine to you and your fiance. It'll be much better for the two of you than you working in that diner."

Tullah could tell that Draco liked the cabinet and she wanted him to have it. "No, no. This is our wedding present to the two of you. You're both such sweet boys. This cupboard belonged to us when we first got married. We never had children, so we can't pass it down."

"I would love to not smell like chips every time I go home. I know Draco would like that as well." Merlin smiled at Arnie, then nodded and walked over, kissing Draco's cheek. "Finding anything, love?"

Draco did like the cabinet, but that didn't mean he should take it. Not unless Tullah let him pay for it. "She's trying to give us the cupboard," he said, looking to Merlin for help saying no.

Arnie smiled at that, walking over and kissing Tullah's temple. "I think giving them the cupboard is a fine idea," he said, nodding in agreement. "It's the perfect wedding present. It was one of ours. Started our obsession with antiques."

	"My father gave it to us on our wedding day." Tullah nodded and smiled. "The thought of it being sold to a stranger is heartbreaking, Draco. Really. We want the two of you to have it." Merlin smiled at that and looked at Draco. "Look at it, Draco. Imagine little Scorpius climbing into it and playing hide and go seek with whatever sibling we give him." Draco looked at Merlin for a moment, feeling slightly pained. Why was he making it even harder to say no? He looked back at Tullah and nodded. "It's beautiful," he said. "If you really want to give it to us, we'll take it. We've got room for it in our flat."

Arnie smiled at that, patting Merlin on the arm. "Good lads," he said. "We're just happy to know it's going to a loving home."

Evan hadn't exactly let Lucius be around him much yet. The other man kept sending him his favourite flowers and his favourite candies, but that didn't mean he had to forgive him. Not right away.

But, today he was visiting him at his office. He came in with a folder, looking down at Lucius in his desk chair, putting the folder down on the table. "I have conditions."

	Lucius looked down at the folder for a moment, then up at Evan. "Conditions?" he repeated, trying not to smile just yet. He shouldn't get his hopes up, even if things seemed... hopeful. "I'm sure I can meet them," he said, taking the folder and opening it up. This was the most he'd gotten from Evan in a while. Lucius was willing to try new things. "What are they?" Evan sat down in the chair in front of Lucius's desk, looking him over carefully. "I've loved you my entire life, Lucius. I've never strayed from you and I don't know what I did to make you want someone else."

He gave him a pained look. "I want you to marry me." He told him. "I want you to sign a pre-nup saying that if you cheat on me or leave me, I'm entitled to sixty-five percent of what you own. And I only want this so I can make sure that you never, ever do this to me again."

Sixty-five percent was a lot. Lucius studied Evan for a long moment, then looked down at the pre-nup in front of him. He wanted to keep Evan. He'd only really cheated the one time since getting clean, so...

"All right," he agreed, looking up at Evan. "I'll call my lawyer over and we'll have the pre-nup notarized. Then I'll buy you a ring you'll actually wear and we'll get married. However you want, whenever you want."

	"That's not all I want." Evan shook his head and looked back at Lucius. He moved the pages of the prenup away and showed him the picture of the house that he'd found. He cleared his throat. Lucius looked down at the house for a moment, then up at Evan and smiled a bit. The two of them living in his flat. Lucius liked the idea. "Like we did when we first got together."

He nodded in agreement, picking up the photo of the house. "I can do that. However much it costs, it'll be fine. If I tell them you want them to have it, they'll actually take it. Is that it?"

Lucius wrapped his arms around Evan, pulling him closer and melting into the kiss. It felt so good to have him back. To have Evan the way he wanted him. Close. He shouldn't have cheated, even if Merlin had been young and fun. It wasn't worth losing this.

"I'll give you a child," he promised, smiling and brushing his fingers through Evan's hair. "We'll find you a surrogate and we'll raise him together. Without Narcissa and Thor."

	Evan smiled at Draco and hugged him tight to his chest when he came into the flat they were sharing. "I missed you so much." He told him, then pulled back. "Is Merlin not home?"
