Merlin felt very content with Draco as his boyfriend again. And he'd become very happy with the way his life was going, even if he was working at a diner to try and support himself. He was working very hard on getting things that he needed and making sure that his bills were paid, even if Lucius was still paying most of them. One day, he'd have to repay the man for everything he'd given him, despite everything else.

But, Merlin had finally saved up the money he'd been trying to save since before he and Draco had broken up to buy him the ring he'd wanted to get for Draco. Even if they couldn't get married right now, he wanted the other boy to have it. He had it hidden in his pocket as he walked into the flat, smiling at Draco. "Did you cook dinner?"

Draco hugged Evan back, smiling at him. "I missed you too," he said. Even if Evan had taken his father back and Draco didn't really approve of that choice. "Merlin should be back soon. He got off work fifteen minutes ago. Sometimes Tullah keeps him with her talking."

He shrugged as he took a step back. "I think we'd both prefer it if Lucius stayed away. What did you want to talk about?"

Evan frowned at Draco for a moment. He was hoping that Draco would allow his father to come up. It wasn't right, even though Lucius had made a huge mistake. Lucius was still his father.

"Draco..." Evan shook his head. "He's your father. You've already forgiven Merlin. He was just as much apart of it as your father was."

"No, he wasn't," Draco said firmly. "My father took advantage of Merlin. Merlin felt isolated and lonely and his father had just kicked him out of the house. Of course he was going to turn to a father figure who offered him comfort. But my father should have known better."

Lucius was waiting outside the building for Evan to call and tell him it wasn't okay for him to come up when he spotted Merlin walking down the street. He hesitated for a moment, then walked over to the boy. "Merlin. Evan is just upstairs talking to Draco."

Evan shook his head. "Your father was wrong for doing what he did, but that doesn't mean you can hate him, Draco. Lucius does love you. And I love you. You're my son and it hurts that I can't be with you and your father at the same time."

Merlin froze when he heard Lucius. He frowned a bit. "I shouldn't be talking to you. You'll get me in trouble."

Draco didn't want to let Evan guilt him into accepting his father back into his life. "I like you being back in England," he promised. "I missed you a lot. I know Mum did too. That doesn't mean I have to forgive Lucius. But fine. He can come up. If Merlin wants him gone when he gets home, he's gone though."

"I'm not here to get you in trouble. I'm here to talk to you and Draco," Lucius said, shaking his head. "Evan is here. We're going to get married. We're even planning on having another child."

Merlin looked at Lucius for a moment, then sighed. "Whatever. Come on up." He told him, then punched in the code to the flat, pulling open the door. He stepped into the lift and then into the flat, looking at Draco and Evan. "Your Dad is here."

Evan looked at Merlin, then at Lucius. "We had some matters to discuss with you."

Draco didn't like the thought of Merlin and Lucius riding all the way up to the flat alone together in the lift. He moved closer to his boyfriend, giving him a kiss and then wrapping an arm around him possessively. "What do you have to say to us?"

Lucius thought Draco was being very dramatic about all of this. "We'd like to have the flat back," he said. "We're getting married and we need a place of our own."

Merlin looked at Lucius, even if Draco had him in a death grip. He kissed his boyfriend softly, then frowned at the two men in front of him. This couldn't be happening.

"But... I don't have anywhere else to go." Merlin told him. "You promised that I could pay you back and I just got this really good job. I can start paying."

Lucius shook his head. "You're misunderstanding," he told Merlin. He reached into his pocket, taking out the listing for the house he'd bought the two of them. "Evan picked this out. He thought you'd like it."

Draco reached out and took the paper from his father, looking down at the house for a long moment. "A house?" He glanced from Evan to Lucius. "Should you two be the ones moving into a house?"

"The two of you are getting married. And as one of your fathers, I wanted you to have a house that I thought the both of you would love." Evan explained, shaking his head. "I want you to have this house."

Merlin looked at Draco for a moment. "I... Well. I start school next year. Uni. I... Draco? Do you want this house?"

Draco didn't know what he wanted. He frowned at his father, then looked back down at the house. "We could take it," he said, after a moment. "It would be nice to be able to paint." He looked up at Lucius, raising an eyebrow. "We'd need a budget for decorating and buying furniture."

Of course they would. Lucius shrugged. "You can have one," he said. "I'll even pay for you to have it professionally done."
