Draco felt terrified. Even if he and Merlin had had nine months to prepare and lots of experience babysitting Valentine and all of that, he was scared of his mind, holding one of their new sons. They were alone with the babies in the house for the first time and Draco kept waiting for Coconut to decide to smother one of them or something. How were they going to make parenting work?

"This is the scariest thing that has ever happened to me," he informed Merlin, staring down into Cepheus's big, grey eyes. "What are we doing? I'm going to end up breaking one of them. It's a good thing Pansy ended up having twins."

Merlin laughed at that and rolled his eyes. Draco could be such a drama queen and he absolutely loved it. He walked over to him and brushed their lips together, holding the other twin, Scorpius, in his arms.

"Don't be ridiculous, Draco. You won't break him." Merlin brought Scorpius up so his tiny little face rested against his shoulder. He rubbed his back. "Hold him like this so he doesn't think you're afraid of him."

	"I'm going to start my relationship with my son by lying to him," Draco said, bringing Cepheus up and holding him close to his chest. "Pretending he isn't terrifying." 	"We are. We have children." Merlin pet at the tiny curls at the base of Scorpius's neck, then smiled at Draco. "You'll be a great father, Draco. You have all the kindness in the world in you." Draco kissed Merlin back and laughed against his lips. "I hope so," he said. "I want them to be friends with each other. Do you best not to let them know you and Pansy still don't get along all that well. Pansy said she'd try."

He kissed Merlin again, then looked down at the twin Merlin was holding. "They are so tiny. I told Mum she could bring Valentine over to meet them soon. Arnie and Tullah want to give them presents."

	"Of course they do. I saw them hiding back a couple of antique baby outfits the other day. They were dreadful looking, but they were being sweet. I'm sure they'll give us something nice." Draco wrinkled his nose at the thought of having to deal with antique baby outfits. "We'll take some photos of them in the outfits and maybe make the kids wear them when they visit," he said. "I was forced into antique outfits. I'm not going to do that to my kids more often than necessary."

He carried Cepheus over to lay in the second bassinet, beside his brother, and smiled down at them. "Why are you talking to me about going back to work already? I've only been off for two weeks." Draco looked up at Merlin. "I could apply for paternity leave. That's time off, with pay."

	Merlin looked up at Draco and laughed softly. He was being adorable, wanting to stay home with the children and be a little housewife. He shook his head and ran a hand through his hair. "Draco. 	"I know," Draco said, looking down at their sons and doing his best not to pout. "But look at them," he said. "They're so sweet. I'm not saying I wouldn't ever go back." Draco kissed Merlin back, sliding a hand into his hair. "I thought we'd already established that I'm terrified," he said, laughing against Merlin's lips. "We have children. There's no turning back now."

Draco had maybe let things go a bit too far when his mother, Merlin, and Pansy had started planning the twins's first birthday party. Merlin liked decorating and his mother like parties and Pansy like the twins. He looked around the house, which had been completely transformed into a sort of bathtime-nautical themed extravaganza to reflect the fact that the twins currently really liked feeding the ducklings in the park, and took a long drink from his wine glass. He has, at least, stopped his mother from bringing real ducks into the house.

"They're not even going to remember this party," he said, looking at Pansy beside him on the couch. "Although the photos of them in matching duck onesies are going to haunt them forever. I can't believe my mother made Valentine dress up in a sailor suit."

	"I can belive it." Pansy told him with a soft laugh. "I mean, honestly. She used to dress you up in awful clothes as well. I don't know why you'd think she wouldn't put Valentine in them. 	"Thor bribed her with that," Draco said, wrinkling his nose. "She got to name him Valentine and have a baby if she let me and Merlin move in together. 	Draco snorted at that. "We're friends, Pansy," he said. "We work at the same museum. It's not like I could stay away from him even if I wanted to. Besides. I like him. And so do the twins." 	Pansy looked down at her belly and shrugged. "I still have a month to go." She admitted, looking Draco over. "Being pregnant isn't too horrible. At least it's not twins this time." 	Draco looked over at Teddy, sitting in the corner. "Yeah, that one's Charlie's," he said. "Teddy's mother is a lesbian police officer. He's a bit... odd, but he's a good kid." Pansy looked down at her belly and rubbed at it a bit, then shrugged. "It's not that weird. I mean, it's stressful knowing that you have a growing child inside of you that you have to protect and live for."

She pushed herself up from the chair she was sitting in, then walked over to where Cepheus was sitting with some other kids and took him over to Teddy. "Hi, Teddy. This is Cepheus."

	Teddy looked up at the woman and then at Cepheus in his duck costume and nodded a bit. "I met him before," he told her. "At the moo'sum." Which was a word he still had a bit of trouble pronouncing. 	Cepheus couldn't say but a few words, which were mostly Dada and 'mook' which was his word for milk. He smiled at the other boy though, taking his hand. Pansy smiled at the two of them. "I think that means he likes you, Teddy. What do you think?" "I think he likes him." Charlie smiled down at Pansy. "I wouldn't stoop down like that if I were you. Baby might pop out."
