Neville had been spending a lot of time trying to figure out if going on a date with Pansy Parkinson was a good idea or not. Probably not, but he wanted to. He liked her. At least his crush wasn't as bad as Regulus's. There was just something about girls with backgrounds drenched in evil, apparently. Maybe they could blame it on being Gryffindors.

He glanced at Regulus as they walked along the outside of the Forbidden Forest, then cleared his throat. "I... saw Pansy Parkinson the other day," he said. "She came down to the pumpkin patch for a bit. We talked." Neville rubbed the back of his neck. "I don't know if you're influencing me to do stupid things or what, but I kind of asked her out."

"Mine isn't my girlfriend yet. She's still dating someone else," Neville pointed out. "Even then I don't know if she'll agree to be my girlfriend. We're just going on a date. But if it works out, of course I'll let you meet her."

He made a face thinking about the dance. "My gran's already making a fuss about it. She's got my dad's dress robes out and cleaned for me already."

"I'm sure she'll want to date you. You're a catch." Regulus slapped Neville on the back and gave him a grin. "You'll have bitches on your dick and everything."

"Do you think you'll ask Pansy?" Regulus arched a brow. "You know, your gran would like that too."

Neville laughed. "I don't know," he said. "Maybe I want to preserve my manly purity. I don't think I really want bitches on my dick, you know? I'd rather have a nice girl."

He thought about Pansy for a moment, then shrugged. "Maybe," he said. "If she likes me when she gets to know me better. I wouldn't be doing it because gran liked it."
