Scorpius was on the verge of a breakdown the entire trip from his and Albus's flat to Cepheus's place. The cab driver kept giving him worried looks. Scorpius wasn't even sure how he felt about everything. Guilty and miserable and humiliated, maybe, all twisted together in some demonic combination. Mostly he just hurt.

He overpaid the cab driver when they reached Cepheus's building and got himself into the lift before he started to cry again, but was still kind of holding it together. Maybe if he just repressed his emotions enough he wouldn't have a meltdown. Scorpius rubbed his eyes until he stopped crying, standing outside Cepheus's door, then knocked.

Scorpius broke down again, putting the glass and the spoon down on the table. "It's all my fault," he said, shaking his head. "I got everything with him wrong. I messed it all up. I'm not good enough for him." He leaned against Cepheus, pressing his face against his brother's shoulder and letting out a shuddering breath. "I shouldn't have come back. I should have just stayed in New York."

James felt like pouting about Cepheus not coming on his trip with him, but now probably wasn't the time. "Should I... call you parents or something?" he asked.

James wasn't sure telling Scorpius he and Al were meant to be together was the best idea, but he nodded, getting to his feet after squeezing Cepheus's knee. "Okay, I'll call them. Hey, Scorpius, Al isn't the only fish in the sea. There's a whole ocean out there for you to look through to find someone who won't make you cry." He ruffled Scorpius's hair and then moved away to track down Cepheus's phone so he could call their sisters.

Scorpius sniffed, shifting a bit closer to Cepheus after James left. "I don't know, Phe," he said, voice soft. "Just because I've loved him for forever doesn't mean he has to ever love me back."

	Cepheus pet at Scorpius's hair and shook his head. "You could try to get over him. It'll take a while, but you could get over him. I'm over Xavier completely now." He kissed his brother's forehead. "How did you get over Xavier?" Scorpius asked, looking up at Cepheus. "I don't want to hurt anybody, Cepheus. I liked him. He was nice. But I don't want to just... I don't know. Date someone for a while to make me feel better."

He rubbed at his face. "Maybe I'll ask Lala when she comes over with Toni. I just feel awful right now. It wasn't this bad before. When we slept together and he left me. I didn't have as much time to build up my hope."

"Well. You don't have to date Rex. We could get you a hooker." Cepheus told him with a small, reassuring smile. "I think Lala has a thing for him anyway. Something about his baked goods."

He thought about Xavier. "For a while, Xavier and I weren't working out. I think I knew it was coming to an end. We ended up shagging a few days ago and it got out everything we felt for each other. And it was over. We agreed it was over."

"I don't want a hooker. I just want someone who wants me back. Somebody who doesn't mind being photographed with me or me being a model." Scorpius pulled back a little so he could look at Cepheus. "I'm sorry that you and Xavier broke up, but I'm glad you're over him. I want you to be happy too. I want you to be with someone who really loves you and not someone else."

James came back into the living room with a tin of Molly's biscuits. "I called your sisters. They said they'd come over." He set the biscuit tin down. "I thought you two might like this to go with your ice cream." He sat beside Cepheus again, touching his hand. "You want me to go out to get you anything?"

Cepheus glanced at James's hand on his for a moment, then shook his head. "I think we're okay for now. We should turn on a film that Scorpius likes." He told him, grabbing the remote and holding it out to James.

Rex didn't know why he'd come along with Antonia and Lavinia, but they had insisted. He was carrying a huge basket of his sweets and was thankful he didn't live far from Cepheus and James. "Are you sure I should be here?" He asked as Antonia knocked.

"Not at all," Lavinia said, shrugging. Rex was her first awesome friend and she didn't think lying was a good idea either. "But you have sweets and they're amazing so that'll be good."

"I'm guessing that's not a horror movie?" James asked, turning the telly on. He got to his feet when there was a knock on the door. "I think I have one of those makes-you-sad-on-purpose Nicholas Sparks movies on here if you want a good cry. You know how much I like Ryan Gosling." He opened the door and raised an eyebrow at the addition of the porn star with the basket of sweets, but stepped out of the way. "Cepheus and Scorpius were just talking about maybe watching a movie. Come in."

Rex stepped in and glanced at Scorpius on the couch. He gave him a warm smile and walked over to where he was. "I brought you this basket of sweets. I thought you could use them."

Cepheus arched a brow at that, then turned on a non-romantic movie for them to watch. "Are you sharing?" He asked, then stood up, walking over to Lavinia. "Smart, bringing the porn star. He'll need a rebound."

Scorpius looked up at Rex, surprised, and then watched Cepheus walk away. He wiped at his face, trying to make himself look more presentable. "I'm sorry," he said. "You don't need to be nice to me. I probably deserve this. I stood you up. But... thank you. The sweets look nice."

Lavinia frowned at Cepheus, even if he was her favourite. "His name is Rex," she said, shaking her head. "He's not a rebound. He's really nice, Phe. He really liked Scorpius." She sighed. "I knew Scorpius and Albus were going to break up. Albus didn't deserve him anyway. You can't not notice that someone's in love with you for five years and then turn into the perfect boyfriend." She looked at Antonia. "You're a girl. That's true, right?"

"It's okay, Scorpius. I understand why you did what you did." Rex smiled at him, then held out a chocolate chip muffin to him. "Come on. The best part of a break up is eating and getting fat. What are you watching?"

Antonia glanced at her sister. She was busy staring at James. "I'm sorry. What are we talking about?"

Cepheus frowned and punched his sister in the breast. "Stop looking at him like that. Anyway, I know he's nice and all that or you wouldn't talk to him. I defended him to our Dad's."

Scorpius hesitated for a moment, then took the muffin from Rex, tearing off a piece and popping it into his mouth. "Fashion week is over. I'm allowed to gain my five pounds back. This is really good. Thank you." He smiled at Rex, then looked at the television. "I have no idea. Phe chose it."

"Dads were a couple of bitches to him," Lavinia said, scowling. "I probably should have known better than to let him be my date for their stupid party, but I thought it would be nice to be there with someone for once."

James smiled when Cepheus punched Antonia's boob for him. Cepheus was so cute when he got violent. He wrapped an arm around the other boy's shoulders. "Well, I haven't spoken to him, but I do like his work," he said. "I'm James. I haven't really met you two before. Cepheus and I are going to have a house warming party eventually."

Rex sat on the couch beside Scorpius, sliding his hand into the other boy's. "It's going to be okay, you know. You'll bounce back. You're hot." He smiled. "You should shag that one over there."

Antonia rubbed her boob. "You're going to give me breast cancer." She informed him, then glanced at Lavinia. "You were stupid enough to bring him to the event. You knew what they'd say."

Cepheus frowned at Antonia, then leaned against James. "Eventually. But, you're leaving next week."
