Scorpius was on the verge of a breakdown the entire trip from his and Albus's flat to Cepheus's place. The cab driver kept giving him worried looks. Scorpius wasn't even sure how he felt about everything. Guilty and miserable and humiliated, maybe, all twisted together in some demonic combination. Mostly he just hurt.

He overpaid the cab driver when they reached Cepheus's building and got himself into the lift before he started to cry again, but was still kind of holding it together. Maybe if he just repressed his emotions enough he wouldn't have a meltdown. Scorpius rubbed his eyes until he stopped crying, standing outside Cepheus's door, then knocked.

Scorpius wasn't sure where he sat with the idea of revenge. Albus had made him feel horrible and worthless and unlovable though. He glanced at James again. "James is gorgeous," he agreed. "He's pretty nice though. Under his smugness."

"I don't need a boyfriend," Lavinia said, shrugging. "I can validate myself plenty of other ways. Besides, I don't need anything distracting me from getting top grades in my A-levels and I have friends." Friend and brother, but whatever.

James smiled at Cepheus. "If you're not around for my calls, I'm going to... I don't know. I'll come up with a punishment." He ruffled Cepheus's hair, glancing back at Scorpius and the porn star. "He is," he agreed. "Your sister might be a genius though. Scorpius isn't crying anymore."

"Well. There you go." Rex smiled at Scorpius. "And if you need a fall back, I have friends who would be happy to date you. You're hot and all." He bumped his shoulder against Scorpius's. "It'll hurt for a while. No one expects you to be happy right now."

Antonia rolled her eyes. "You should shag your porn friend. His flat is nice. And he looks good naked. I've seen his videos."

Cepheus looked up at James, then at Scorpius. "Good." He told him with a smile. "Stop looking at me like that. It makes me want to blow you and I can't."

Scorpius took another bite of the muffin and nodded. "Thanks," he said. "I should have treated you better. I'm glad you and Lala are friends. I'm glad you're here. It's different than talking to someone who knows everything about me and Albus. It's easier."

"Don't watch his videos! He's my friend," Lavinia said, frowning at Antonia. "Just because he's a boy and he likes girls too doesn't mean we have to be like that." She looked at Rex and Scorpius. "Besides, I think he fancies Scorpius." Even if she was a little resentful of that. She wanted Rex to be her thing.

James laughed. "I'm not going to apologise," he said. "I'm not looking at you any way. This is just my face. You know, you'll probably have to room with me while your brother's here."

"You could have texted me. I'm easy to talk to, I think." Rex admitted as he looked back at Scorpius. "You have my number if you ever just want to talk. We'll be friends and I'll make you feel better."

"I think the liking Scorpius ship sailed when Scorpius dumped him for Albus." Antonia wrinkled her nose. "Why would anyone want Albus anyway? He's not even attractive."

"Who says?" Cepheus asked, arching a brow. "I'll just sleep on the couch. Or sleep with my brother. I don't have to room with you." He stuck his tongue out.

"Okay," Scorpius agreed, smiling at Rex. "I'd like that a lot, actually. I really enjoyed spending time with you. Not... just because of the stuff we did. It's easy to talk to you. And you're a really good baker." He finished off his muffin and then reached for one of the brownies. "I've barely eaten this week. I'm starving."

"Really?" Lavinia asked, glancing at Rex and Scorpius again. It was a shitty thing for Scorpius to do. Rex was pretty smart and self-respecting. Even if he was a porn star. "Albus is talented and smart and kind. That makes up for not being as handsome as James is."

James pouted at Cepheus. "You don't have to, but if you do then I can blow you and you can blow me. We'll be a big, happy, oral sex giving family."

Cepheus laughed at that and rolled his eyes. "Don't you think it would be a little weird blowing me with my brother in the next room?" He asked. "Him having to hear us having sex while he's alone and broken-hearted?"

Scorpius laughed a little. "If you're muscular it's different. You can eat more because you build muscle from the food in the gym, but I'm not the muscular type. I'm lean. I work out, but not to build muscle, which means less food. Or something. My agent decides when I need to lose more weight. You and Lala seem close now."

"He does musical theatre. Not auto-tuned pop," Lavinia pointed out. "It's nice that you're taking the fuck Albus Potter side in this. For Scorpius's sake. But Albus is talented."

James considered this for a moment. "I could gag you," he offered. "Or we could just do it in the shower with the water running. That might drown it out."

"So you don't strength train. You just do cardio?" Rex asked with a laugh. "Yeah. I do the same. I run on the treadmill with your sister and gossip about the men there. She doesn't seem very into them and I'm starting to think she's a lesbian. Which is kind of a bummer."

Antonia rolled her eyes at her sister. "If you say so." She told her. "I'm not much into musical theatre. I'm more into sports." She glanced at James.

"We're both loud. We'd both have to be gagged." Cepheus told him with a laugh, then shook his head. "We'll figure out some way to do it."

Scorpius looked back at Lavinia and Antonia, who seemed like they were bickering, but that was pretty standard. "Do you like her?" he asked Rex. "I don't think she's a lesbian. She's just not very good with people unless she's getting something from them. She's a lot like our dad. Her biological one."

Lavinia looked at James took and snorted. "He's super gay and super into Phe, Toni," she said. "I guess looking never hurt anybody. At least if they start dating you'll be able to ogle him all you want."

"Not if our mouths were full," James said firmly. "I guess I do talk a lot when we have sex. I can't help it. I like talking dirty to you. You get so hard for me." He brushed his fingers over the back of Cepheus's neck.

Was it weird that Scorpius was encouraging a porn star that he'd slept with in his quest to ask out his little sister? Maybe. "Lavinia has no idea what she wants," he said. "If you like her, you're going to have to be direct with her because she's not going to get the signals otherwise."

"Right," Lavinia said, giving Antonia a skeptical look. "Except I have no desire for a sporty boyfriend and aren't you dating Jude Nott right now?"

Rex glanced at Lavinia for a moment, then nodded. "Yeah. Alright. I'll ask her over to watch a movie soon or something. And we'll see if I can get her to go on an actual date with me or something."

"I don't think we're dating. He hasn't formally asked." Antonia admitted. "And I'm young. It's not like I'm married, Lala. Calm down and ahve some fun."

Cepheus closed his eyes for a moment, breath catching in his throat. "Stop." He told him, giving him a pleading look. "I can't do anything right now. Stop being mean."

"Good plan," Scorpius agreed, nodding. "Be careful with her. If you hurt her, our father will reign hell on you and he's pretty vicious when he has to be. You should see how upset he gets when his decorators don't do a good job. This would be even worse. But I like you. I don't think you'll have any problems."

"I have fun," Lavinia said. "I work out with Rex. And I eat his sweets. That's fun." Kind of. It was fun hanging out with Rex and hearing what he had to say about the other boys in the gym.

James loved the pleading expression on Cepheus's face, but he was being mean. "Okay," he agreed, nodding and leaning in to kiss his neck. "I'll stop. But later I'm picking this up again. Your sister keeps checking me out. Does that cool you down?"
