Radley was up kind of early compared to when he normally woke up. He had managed to get one of the orderlies to let him outside so that he could pick some flowers. He put them in one of the Styrofoam cups and placed it on the breakfast tray he'd gotten for Lucy, then walked down the hall to where her room was.

He sat the tray on the bedside table and sat on her bed, wondering which Lucy he'd be getting that day.

	"You're not. I liked it a lot," Lucy promised, cuddling close to Radley and wrapping her arms around him. She looked up at him, kissing his chest. "If I didn't want it, I could have said no and just not finished my pancakes." Lucy rubbed Radley's back, trying to soothe him and make him feel better. "I'm sorry. 	"You don't have to do that for me. If you do that for me, how am I going to impress you?" Radley asked. It was aggravating him that he was being so stupid and that he was crying. "You can impress me just by being you." Lucy pulled Radley closer, trying to soothe him at least a little bit. "You're not a mess. Not anymore than anybody else here. And you're better than most of them too. We're both trying to get better. We're both going to learn how to be happy and better and we'll get out of here and then we'll go on a date outside, where there aren't any orderlies."
