There were orange lantern lights tacked around the common room. Pumpkins sitting on the tables full of candy, and as much as Pansy wanted to grab one of the pieces of candy, or all of them, she wouldn't allow herself. Instead, she was focused on just staring at the candy. And mentally eating it.

When had it become Halloween time anyway? Had time flown by on her? Had she really not noticed how late in the year it was getting?

	Pansy shook her head. "The dance class is awful. It's like being in primary school when they show you how to do simple things. I used to love to dance, until my parents took me out of ballet class." 	"I haven't really talked to Rider. He's been spending a lot of time with Pyxis." Pansy pointed out with a small shrug, looking back at Luka. She leaned against him a bit and smiled. 	Pansy gave Luka a pointed look and shook her head. "I don't think I really want to be part of that." She admitted with a laugh. "You may get jealous if I include myself in that." 	"Oh," Luka said, eyebrows raising. He laughed a little. "I didn't realize they were that kind of close. It's a bit strange for cousins, isn't it?" he asked, snorting. 	Pansy whined a bit when he pulled back from her. She wanted him to hold her like he used to when they were on the third floor. When they could just lay together all day and watch bad telly. "I miss you." Pansy told him quietly. "I wish I could get out of here. Soon. I'm trying to convince Snape I'm better. You'd do better at healing me than these people." Luka thought the whining was cute. He smiled at Pansy and kissed her forehead. "I miss you too," he told her. "You being on this floor means you're getting better. Don't worry. It's already Halloween. Before you know it, you'll be out."

He looked around for a moment, then pulled Pansy into his lap. "Stop trying to convince people and start trying to do it for yourself," Luka said. "It's a long process, but you've made great progress so far."

	Pansy wasn't so sure about that. She wasn't sure she was actually getting better, but she didn't want to tell Luka that. He did make her feel better and he was better at helping her than most of the doctors there. But, maybe she'd just pretend for him too. She settled in his lap and smiled. "You're being naughty. "Walden and Pyxis?" Luka frowned a little at that. It might explain some things if they rumour was true. He was happy with Pansy, but things with Pyxis had been... She'd dropped him without an explanation. "I thought maybe she was with Rider."

He looked down at Pansy and laughed. "Maybe a footballer. I still have my old uniform. Or... I don't know. Maybe I could be a mouse too."

	"You only want to be with me because she blew you off." Pansy told him quietly and shook her head. Some part of her thought it was true and it was eating away at her stomach.
