Pyxis wasn't feeling very good. She'd been having trouble sleeping again, mostly because her stomach was always upset and she was always nauseous. She rubbed at her stomach absently as she lay in the bed in her own room, feeling lonely since Walden had told her she couldn't stay in his office anymore. And he hadn't come to really see her in two days.

What had she done wrong? She chewed at her bottom lip, tugging at the bottom of her shirt, putting it over her knees as she curled into a ball.

"Fuck you too," Rider said, stubbing his cigarette out on the frame of Pyxis's bed. "I like you just fine or I wouldn't be here. Just because I don't love people doesn't mean I'm fucking blind and Walden stares at you every time you pass each other in the hall. If you left your room and looked at people, you might see what's really going on. And if you sit in silence about being sick, no the nurses aren't going to see it, but if you go to them and say you can't keep food down, they'll do their jobs. Pyxis stared at Rider for a moment, trying not to cry. She was trying really hard to not be like this. To be better. She was just having an off week. Surely he understood that.

"I have a disorder, Rider. Sometimes I get like this." She informed him and shook her head. "You of all people should know about the moodswings. You're the one who flies off the handle and attacks people because you get angry. So I'm a little down. It happens to us all. Being cooped up in this hell hole isn't making any of us feel better."

"It was when you were getting fucked." Rider put his half-smoked fag back in the cigarette carton, then stood up, offering his hand to Pyxis. "Let's go. You can put some tights or something on if you want, but I'm taking you out."

He raised an eyebrow at her. "I understand mood swings. I'm not in the mood to deal with them right now. So come with me and we'll work on fixing your problems instead of wallowing in them."
