Lucy stared at the empty bed on the other side of her room. She couldn't believe Pansy had gotten out of the hospital already. It was a lot easier to be there, now that Radley was around, but it was still... She was still there, in the hospital, even though she'd been working really hard at her therapy and taking all her medications to try and get out.

She frowned at Pansy's empty bed and then got to her feet, leaving the room to seek out company in the common room. She found Radley easily enough, sitting beside him and leaning against his side. "I wonder if I'll get a new roommate now that Pansy's not around anymore."

Radley was never sure which Lucy he was going to get. But, he smiled to himself when she showed up looking a bit clean cut. Even if that was the Lucy he had to make sure ate. At least she didn't have promiscuity issues.

He leaned in and kissed her softly. "I'm sure that you will. could put on a skirt and see if they'll put me in your room."

Lucy laughed, leaning against Radley. "You'd be the best roommate," she told him. "They might start treating you for split-personalities if you started acting like a girl part of the time so we could be closer."

She kissed him back and sighed. "I just don't want to have another roommate leave here before I do. Does that make me a bad person?"

"No. It doesn't make you a bad person." Radley shook his head. "I think it means you don't want to be the craziest person here. But, if it makes you feel better, I think that Rider will be here forever."

He kissed her forehead and smiled down at her. "I wouldn't mind being called crazy if I got to stay with you."

"Sometimes the other me says she thinks we'll be here forever," Lucy told Radley. "I know because Snape tells me what she says to him sometimes. Since I don't remember it like she remembers me."

She leaned her head against his shoulder. "You being here makes everything easier. Better." She kissed him softly and then sat up straighter. "We should do something productive today. Show everyone we're healthy and strong."

"You're not going to be here forever. You'll probably get out before I do." Radley told her with a shrug and wrapped his arm tightly around her. He pulled her close and kissed her softly on the lips.

"And you'll forget all about me." He told her. "And you'll find a new boyfriend."

Lucy shook her head, wrapping her arms around Radley's neck. "I will not," she said. "If I got out before you then I'd come visit you as often as I possibly could and we'd talk about how great it was going to be when we were both out and we could do whatever we wanted."

She smiled at Radley. "I'd never want a new boyfriend. I like you too much."

"Do you? That's really good." Radley told her with a grin, then kissed her tenderly. "Because I like you a lot. Both of you." He pointed out, then pulled her into his lap, holding her close.

"We should go on a date." Radley grinned. "I'd like that. You could get dressed up."

"When we get out of here? I'd like that too. I could get a nice dress for it." Lucy smiled to herself, playing with the edge of Radley's shirt. "It'd be nice to see you dressed up too."

She looked up at him. "If the other Lucy is still around then, you could take her somewhere too. I bet she'd like to go to a rock concert or a pub on a date."

"No. I mean, while we're in here." Radley replied with a shrug, looking her over. He wanted to make her happy. There had to be some sort of way the two of them could have a date while they were in the facility.

He chewed at his lip. "Maybe I could convince that Charlie bloke to sneak us out one night. He seems nice."

Lucy gave Radley a surprised look. "Like... out-out? That... That would be amazing. I haven't been outside in months. Not since they took us on a field trip to the zoo. But then Rider freaked out and started yelling at the monkeys so they brought us home."

She grinned at Radley. "I'd love that so much. You have no idea, Radley. It would be wonderful to get out of here even for a little."

"I'm going to do my best to make it happen. Okay?" Radley smiled softly at Lucy, kissing her nose. He turned when he heard her name called and saw Severus Snape standing there. That couldn't be good.

"Lucy. It's time for your session." He informed the girl, glancing down at his watch. "You are five minutes late."

Lucy wilted a little. She wasn't normally late for her sessions. "I'm sorry, Doctor Snape," she said. She gave Radley and apologetic smile and leaned in to kiss his cheek. "I'll see you in a bit."

Getting to her feet, Lucy gave Snape her best smile. "I lost track of time. I've been a lot more relaxed lately."

"Being careless with your schedule is not progress, Lucianna." Severus informed the girl with a frown as he led her into his office. He motioned towards the chair for her to sit down.

"If Radley is becoming a distraction." Severus looked her over. "We'll have to have him moved."

"A -- he's not a distraction," Lucy said, giving Doctor Snape a shocked look. "I'm still focusing on my treatment and doing my exercises and writing in my journal and going to group. I just -- He's a reason for me to try harder. So we can both see each other outside the hospital too."

She twisted her hands in her lap. "You shouldn't move him. We're good for each other. We're really good together."

"It's not true that the other you has been coming out more often?" Severus asked as he took a seat behind his desk and looked Lucy over carefully. "That he doesn't condone that behaviour? Embraces that you have two different personalities?"

He arched a brow. "I'm not sure that's helping you. It's giving you the idea that it's acceptable and she's coming out and using your body. With him. How does that make you feel?"

"Not... I mean, I don't like the idea of it. Of her being with my boyfriend," Lucy said, glancing at her hands briefly. "But I trust Radley. He wouldn't do anything with her that I wouldn't be okay with."

She chewed on her bottom lip for a moment and then looked up at Snape. "Radley's just trying to be kind. He likes me best."

"How can you be sure of that, Lucy?" Severus asked, shaking his head. "It's not as if you can actually remember what happened when she lets you have your body back. If anything, you should want to fight harder to keep your body so you can spend your time with Radley."

He tapped his fingers on the desk. "And you can never trust someone like Radley. He was a prostitute. How long do you think he'll hold out for you if you aren't giving him what he's used to?"

Lucy was trembling a bit, but doing her best to hide it and to remain in control of herself. She didn't think of Radley as a former prostitute. He hadn't wanted to do the things he'd done. "I want to trust him," she said, shaking her head. "Are you saying I should sleep with Radley? I don't... I'm a good girl."

She looked up at Snape, giving him a sad look. "I don't want to think about this stuff. He's my boyfriend. I just want to fancy him."

"No. I don't condone having sex in this facility, Lucy." Severus reached across the desk and took Lucy's hand into his own. "I know that you are a good girl. I'm only looking out for you because you are a good girl."

He squeezed her hand in his. "I am only saying to be careful. An to not invest everything in Radley Macnair." He looked her over carefully and then stood, pulling out a file. "This is everything you need to know about Radley Macnair. Everything he's done."

"I... I don't..." Lucy reached for the file and then snapped her hand back as she changed. She looked up at Snape and frowned. "Isn't there supposed to be some sort of doctor-patient confidentiality in place, Snape? You're breaking the rules. I don't want her to read that. She doesn't really want to read it."

She leaned back in her seat, raising an eyebrow at him. "What the matter, are you jealous Radley gets to kiss her and touch her and all you can do is hold her hand? Should have known you'd have a thing for good girls. All the best perverts do."

A frown formed on Severus's lips when the other Lucy came out of hiding. He took the file back and arched a bow at her, taking a seat in his chair.

"I can assure you, Lucy. I do not have a thing for any girl." Severus informed her, then looked the girl over. "You are simply her minds way of keeping things from her. The things she doesn't want to deal with. Perhaps she's afraid of what might be in this file. Do you really want to see Radley destroy her? That's all he's capable of doing."

Lucy crossed her arms over her chest. "So tell me what he's capable of doing and I'll tell you if I think she should care," she said. "I keep things from her when she doesn't need to know them. If she needs to know, you can tell her."

Radley was a sweet boy, no matter what Snape said. Maybe he'd done horrible things, but Lucy was only here because she'd gotten arrested stealing things from a shop. She'd done bad things too.

Severus rolled her eyes. This Lucy was much harder to deal with. He wished he could erradicate her all together. He sighed softly and steepled his fingers as he looked back at her.

"Radley slept with his mother's boyfriends. As far as I've learned, he's never been intimate with a woman." Snape replied. "He's only been interested in men. Until now."

Lucy looked back at Snape for a moment, then shrugged. "So now that his mother isn't letting men pay to have sex with him and he's allowed to choose a partner for himself he chose a girl. So what?"

It was something that would worry the other Lucy, though. She'd have to tell Radley about this conversation so he could handle Lucy when she found out, or maybe tell her beforehand. "I don't see the problem. Radley likes us."

"Radley was in a long term relationship with Lucius Malfoy that has been covered up." Severus replied as he looked back at Lucy, lifting a shoulder in a shrug. "He's been on countless drugs, addicted."

He tapped his fingers on the desk again. "He's not good for you, Lucy. You're two good girls."

That was... a lot of information it would have been good to have earlier. But Lucy didn't believe that Snape thought she was a good girl, even if he did think the other Lucy was. "He's here to get better. Aren't you supposed to be fixing him, not telling me how bad he is?"

She rolled her eyes at him. "Lucy's friends with Thoreau. You didn't lecture her about his addiction problems. He got sent up to the third floor he was so bad. She kisses Radley a bit and suddenly he's a monster? It's not like you're giving him drugs here."

Severus continued to frown at Lucy. She always made things more difficult. He shook his head and sank back in his chair. "Go back to the common room, Lucy. If Lucy get hurt, it'll be your own fault. I've warned you."

And perhaps he could do something about it later. Radley wasn't that bad off. He'd just release him.

Lucy left Snape's office, feeling angry that the prick was trying to break up Lucy and Radley. He was the only boy they'd met who got them. It didn't matter what his past was like. Lucy wasn't dating him before.

She made her way back to the common room and dropped onto the couch beside Radley. "It's me," she told him. "Snape's a prick. We should talk about things before I let Lucy come back."

Radley gave Lucy a concerned look for a moment, then reached out and took her hand into his own. He squeezed it and kissed he forehead. Whatever it had been had obviously been bad if she was this upset about it.

"What's wrong?" Radley asked, turning so he could look at her better. "What did Snape do to you?"

"He didn't do anything to me. He's just... trying to break us up," Lucy said. "He kept telling Lucy she shouldn't be okay with this. With you accepting both of us. And Lucy kept pushing back and defending it and talking about how happy she is, and then he whipped out your medical records and started threatening to tell her whatever you were in here for, so I took over."

She looked at Radley for a moment, then shrugged. "So he told me instead and then I told him to go fuck himself. I know you were a prostitute and that Lucius Malfoy was your boyfriend and that you did drugs and that Snape says you were never with a girl before us. I don't care about any of it. I don't think Lucy would either, but I thought you should decide if you want her to know."

That hurt. Radley looked back at Lucy quietly and closed his eyes, running his hands over his head. After a moment of contemplation, he let out a deep sigh and turned back to look at her. He was ashamed.

"I'm Radley Macnair. I'm a bipolar, manic depressive who tried to kill himself after he was forced to fuck five men in an alleyway to help take care of his Mum. Yet again. I've only slept with men because that's what was around. I don't..." He sighed. "I really love you, Lu."

"Love?" Lucy repeated, blinking at Radley in shock. "You... love me? Really? But..." It seemed so unlikely, Radley loving her. "The other Lucy, right? You love her." That would make more sense.

She laced their fingers together and leaned in to kiss Radley for a long moment. "I only care about your past because I hate that you got hurt so bad. I do a lot to take care of Lucy to keep her from being hurt and it makes me want to take care of you too."

Lucy frowned and reached up to wipe the tear off Radley's cheek. "Of course not," she said. "You make Lucy happy and relaxed. You keep her from thinking about her ticks and obsessions. You're better for her than Snape is by far."

She leaned in, pressing their lips together. "I'm going to let her come back now. You should talk. You should tell her how you feel about us."

Lucy blinked and then she was gone and the other Lucy was there in her place. She started a bit, when she found herself in Radley's lap instead of Snape's office, but then noticed how sad Radley looked. "What's wrong?" she asked, shifting closer to Radley and touching his cheek. "Did she do something to you?"

"No. Of course not." Radley shook his head and sat up a bit, wiping at his eyes. He adjusted Lucy in his lap and gave her a weak smile, then leaned in and pressed their lips softly together. She was beautiful and he was nervous.

"There are some things we need to talk about. Apparently Snape thought it was his duty to tell you." Radley sighed. "But... I'm in love with you, Lucy. Both parts of you. I love you both so much and until you are healthy and she is gone, I will love both parts of you. And then I will love only you." He gave her a shy smile. "You can ask me anything you want to know."

She sat back a little, looking at him for a moment. "I... I don't know what to ask. What did Doctor Snape tell the other Lucy?"

Radley looked back at her for a moment and then sighed heavily. "Fuck. I don't know specifics, but he told her about how I had to be a prostitute for a living. That's how I made money to support my mother and my drug habit. I was on a lot of drugs."

He looked her over. "And I've never slept with a woman before. It was always men. I fancy men, but I fancy women as well."

Lucy looked at Radley for a long moment, then nodded, reaching out and taking his hand in hers. "I'm glad you told me about it," she said. "It's... still a lot to take it, but it's not that bad, I don't think. I know you care about me. I know you did things that got you put here, but now we're both here and we're going to change our lives for the better."

She leaned in and kissed him again. "Together. Right?" Lucy gave Radley a tentative smile. "We're together and we love each other. We can get through anything."
