Lucy stared at the empty bed on the other side of her room. She couldn't believe Pansy had gotten out of the hospital already. It was a lot easier to be there, now that Radley was around, but it was still... She was still there, in the hospital, even though she'd been working really hard at her therapy and taking all her medications to try and get out.

She frowned at Pansy's empty bed and then got to her feet, leaving the room to seek out company in the common room. She found Radley easily enough, sitting beside him and leaning against his side. "I wonder if I'll get a new roommate now that Pansy's not around anymore."

	Severus continued to frown at Lucy. She always made things more difficult. He shook his head and sank back in his chair. "Go back to the common room, Lucy. If Lucy get hurt, it'll be your own fault. Lucy left Snape's office, feeling angry that the prick was trying to break up Lucy and Radley. He was the only boy they'd met who got them. It didn't matter what his past was like. Lucy wasn't dating him before.

She made her way back to the common room and dropped onto the couch beside Radley. "It's me," she told him. "Snape's a prick. We should talk about things before I let Lucy come back."

	Radley gave Lucy a concerned look for a moment, then reached out and took her hand into his own. He squeezed it and kissed he forehead. Whatever it had been had obviously been bad if she was this upset about it. "What's wrong?" Radley asked, turning so he could look at her better. "What did Snape do to you?" "He didn't do anything to me. He's just... trying to break us up," Lucy said. "He kept telling Lucy she shouldn't be okay with this. With you accepting both of us. And Lucy kept pushing back and defending it and talking about how happy she is, and then he whipped out your medical records and started threatening to tell her whatever you were in here for, so I took over."

She looked at Radley for a moment, then shrugged. "So he told me instead and then I told him to go fuck himself. I know you were a prostitute and that Lucius Malfoy was your boyfriend and that you did drugs and that Snape says you were never with a girl before us. I don't care about any of it. I don't think Lucy would either, but I thought you should decide if you want her to know."

That hurt. Radley looked back at Lucy quietly and closed his eyes, running his hands over his head. After a moment of contemplation, he let out a deep sigh and turned back to look at her. He was ashamed.

"I'm Radley Macnair. I'm a bipolar, manic depressive who tried to kill himself after he was forced to fuck five men in an alleyway to help take care of his Mum. Yet again. I've only slept with men because that's what was around. I don't..." He sighed. "I really love you, Lu."

"Love?" Lucy repeated, blinking at Radley in shock. "You... love me? Really? But..." It seemed so unlikely, Radley loving her. "The other Lucy, right? You love her." That would make more sense.

She laced their fingers together and leaned in to kiss Radley for a long moment. "I only care about your past because I hate that you got hurt so bad. I do a lot to take care of Lucy to keep her from being hurt and it makes me want to take care of you too."

Lucy frowned and reached up to wipe the tear off Radley's cheek. "Of course not," she said. "You make Lucy happy and relaxed. You keep her from thinking about her ticks and obsessions. You're better for her than Snape is by far."

She leaned in, pressing their lips together. "I'm going to let her come back now. You should talk. You should tell her how you feel about us."

Lucy blinked and then she was gone and the other Lucy was there in her place. She started a bit, when she found herself in Radley's lap instead of Snape's office, but then noticed how sad Radley looked. "What's wrong?" she asked, shifting closer to Radley and touching his cheek. "Did she do something to you?"

"No. Of course not." Radley shook his head and sat up a bit, wiping at his eyes. He adjusted Lucy in his lap and gave her a weak smile, then leaned in and pressed their lips softly together. She was beautiful and he was nervous.

"There are some things we need to talk about. Apparently Snape thought it was his duty to tell you." Radley sighed. "But... I'm in love with you, Lucy. Both parts of you. I love you both so much and until you are healthy and she is gone, I will love both parts of you. And then I will love only you." He gave her a shy smile. "You can ask me anything you want to know."

Radley looked back at her for a moment and then sighed heavily. "Fuck. I don't know specifics, but he told her about how I had to be a prostitute for a living. That's how I made money to support my mother and my drug habit. I was on a lot of drugs."

He looked her over. "And I've never slept with a woman before. It was always men. I fancy men, but I fancy women as well."

Lucy looked at Radley for a long moment, then nodded, reaching out and taking his hand in hers. "I'm glad you told me about it," she said. "It's... still a lot to take it, but it's not that bad, I don't think. I know you care about me. I know you did things that got you put here, but now we're both here and we're going to change our lives for the better."

She leaned in and kissed him again. "Together. Right?" Lucy gave Radley a tentative smile. "We're together and we love each other. We can get through anything."
