After him and Hermione had parted ways for the night, Ron made a mad dash up the stairs to the dorms hoping to Merlin that Harry was there, and for the first time, that Ginny was with him. He was bursting with the news. He couldn't stop grinning. He was in love with Hermione and she was in love back! They'd snogged! They'd told each other they loved each other! They were together!

"HARRY!" He screamed as he reached the dorm door, flinging it open and seeing his best mate's curtains drawn around his bed. "Harry, are you there? Is Ginny there too? Come on! I won't even be mad if she is!" He was practically bouncing. He hadn't been this excited since he'd found out that he was going to the Quidditch World Cup the summer before fourth year.

Ginny had been curling a bit of Harry's hair around her finger, giggling before kissing him again, the parchments full of notes he had been making for the new DA crunching under their legs. Reforming the DA was giving him an energy and brightness that she hadn't really seen since the war ended--it was quite the turn on. But just as she was about to roll him onto his back, Ron's voice hit Ginny like a ton of bricks, and she jerked away from Harry, sitting up straight. What had happened...

She glanced at Harry, clad only in pyjama pants, and down at herself in Harry's boxer shorts and a tank that she yanked back down into place, topped off with a serious case of bed head, and decided to take her brother at his word. What if Fred and George had blown up their shoppe with one of their ridiculous products? Charlie, eaten by a dragon, Bill eaten by Fleur...

Without waiting for Harry to comment, she grabbed her wand from the pile of parchments and quickly dissolved the half-dozen privacy charms on Harry's bed and yanked the curtain open. "What's going on?" she asked breathlessly, scrambling out of the bed.

Harry threw up his hands in exasperation. Yes, that's right, don't ask if I'd like to tug a shirt on, just let Ron guess what we were up to and then watch him hex me into oblivion, he thought in a panic, scrambling out behind Ginny. He was ready to blurt out an apology, but the expression on Ron's face - an amalgamation of joy and excitement and unadulterated delight - iced him to the floor; even without his glasses, Harry could see it all, so clear. "What's going on mate?" he asked, reaching back to the bed and grabbing his glasses, peering at Ron in confusion and curiosity.

	"Wait you - you what?" Harry stammered, running his hands through his hair. He watched Ginny and Ron jump and squeal and become a blur of excitement and tried to figure out which end was up anymore. It happened, it really happened? "You and Hermione - you snogged?" he repeated, feeling stupid and slow but wanting to be exactly sure that he wasn't hallucinating. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Ginny leapt up and began bouncing on Harry's bed, all of the parchments going flying with each jump. "Ohmistaaars!" she squealed, clapping her hands as she spun in a circle. 	Harry laughed: he was certain there would be more romantic ways for a couple to come together, but nothing would be more organic, more Ron and Hermione than that. 	Harry looked down at his hands, linked cosily over Ginny's stomach and immediately yanked them away, stuffing them behind his back. "It's not my fault that's she's always being a prat and goading you, I respect the line!" he protested, shaking his head so furiously that his glasses slipped down his nose. 	Ginny tried to intercept the shirt, but Harry was the best seeker in the school for a reason; he grabbed it easily and began to pull it on as Ginny gave Ron an acidic look. "He's just going to take it off as soon as y--ow!" she yelped, as Harry gave her a firm pinch on the arm. "Bugger off!" she protested as Harry clamped the hand over her mouth. 	Ron raised an eyebrow at the exchange between the two of them and wondered if they were like this all the time. Shaking it off and thinking he may not want to know what they got up to all the time, he shrugged at Harry's question. "Er, not really, actually. She gets so excited to do things like this, it makes her feel all sneaky, like it's a mission," she laughed. "Plus, she's just...a girl, she knows girl things like the right fonts and all of that." 	Ron nodded, thinking just giving it to her in person would work out nicely. He had no reason to be embarrassed anymore now that he knew how she felt. "Wish I had some firewhiskey left."
