Kiernan was late for his own office hours. Not that anyone was showing up other than girls who wanted to suck his cock, but Louis was currently ignoring them and sending them away. He didn't want them intruding on his own territory, even if the man wasn't interested in him at all. Which he really didn't understand. He was hot. Beautiful. Sexy.

He lit a fag and propped his feet up on the desk, waiting for the other man to show. The longer he knew him, the more he disliked him.

	"I'm turning into one of those professors who abuses their assistants," Kiernan said, rubbing his temples for a moment. He sighed and pushed himself away from the table. Kiernan hesitated when Louis said he'd grade the quizzes, but maybe that was for the best. He wasn't exactly on top form. "Just mark things right or wrong," he said. "You don't need to give constructive criticism. I'll go through and do that later. When I can concentrate." He left the room to use the Floo in his quarters, hoping Louis went easy on his fellow students.

It didn't take Kiernan that long to return, Velma in his arms, sniffling and clutching hold of a doll. He smiled down at her as he stepped into the office. "Louis, this is Velma. Velma, this is my assistant, Louis."

Louis had gotten through quite a few of the quizzes, realizing that most of his peers were idiots and needed to study harder. He looked up at Kiernan from marking a paper, then smiled when he saw the little girl in his professor's arms.

Standing, he walked over to her and smiled. "Hey there, Velma. It's nice to meet you." He told her and then glanced at her doll. "And who is this?"

Velma looked at Louis with wide eyes, then reached up and wiped at hr nose with her hand before holding out her doll. "S'Bun," she said. "My mommy gave her to me. You're pretty."

Kiernan looked down at Velma and laughed softly, kissing her forehead. "Velma's still not feeling so great," he said. "I don't think Louis should play with Bun right now. Bun might get him sick."

"Bun? It's very nice to meet you, Bun." Louis wasn't worried about getting sick. His immune system was kind of like steel, having lived with so many kids around him all the time. He took the doll from her arms and place a hand over her forehead.

"Oh no. Madame Bun seems to be burning up." Louis said in French and smiled at the girl, switching back to English. "Do you mind if I clean Madame Bun up and get her feeling all better?"

	Velma perked up a little when Louis switched to French, giving him an intrigued look. She nodded. "You can if you wanna," she agreed. "Can I help?" She liked Louis. She wanted to play with his pretty hair. "You should be resting," Kiernan reminded his daughter, looking down at her and smiling a little. "But if you can help Louis from bed then I don't mind." "Of course she can help. Madame Bun needs to be put into bed as well." Louis smirked at Kiernan for a moment, then took Velma into his arms and started walking towards Kiernan's private chambers. He stepped inside and glanced at the bed before he walked the girl over to the bed and put her down in it, then put the doll beside her.

Louis sat on the corner of the bed and pulled out his wand, looking at the doll. He cast a few charms to clean her up, even removing some of the stains and then smiled at the little girl. "You are very beautiful for such a little girl." He told her in French. "We should teach you French. Don't you think?"

Velma wiggled, settling down in her father's bed and pulling Bun close to her chest after Louis cleaned the doll up. She smiled at him. "I wanna know French. Daddy knows French." She looked at her father in the doorway. "What did Lou say, Daddy?"

Kiernan smiled. Louis was surprisingly good with children. "He said you were very beautiful. I agree," he said, walking over to the bed and kissing Velma's forehead. "Even if you have a cold."

Louis glanced back at Kiernan for a moment and then nodded. "That's right. I did say you were very beautiful." He told her as he played with a bit of her hair. He smiled softly, brushing it from her eyes and then pulled his hand back.

"Let's start small." Louis told her. "Bonjour means hello in French. Can you say Bonjour?" He turned and looked at Kiernan. "Could you make us some peppermint tea? It'll help with any tummy aches she's got."
