Pyxis was so fat. And so pregnant. Her ankles were swollen. Her face was swollen. Her blood pressure was sky high and she was hungry. And she was fat. Did I mention she was fat? Either way, she was completely miserable and she couldn't work in her condition. So all she could do all day was sit in the flat that she and Walden now shared, petting at the kittens and flipping through the television.

When she heard someone come into the flat, Pyxis tried to peek towards the front door, but she couldn't bend over far enough. "I hope you're not a serial killer!" She called out. "Because I can't defend myself. Or get up."

	"You do so much for me already. I'd hate to make you go get me gelato." Pyxis told him as she propped her feet up on the table and looked at the food. She popped a piece of pineapple into her mouth. 	"I'm the one who got you pregnant in the first place," Walden pointed out, shaking his head. "I should be taking care of you and making sure you get what you want. It's my job until you go back to work, and then my job is the baby." He came back to the couch, sitting next to her and giving her a concerned look. "Pains?" he repeated. "What kind of pains?" "No. Your job is still your job." Pyxis pointed out. She wouldn't let the baby get in the way of him doing what he actually loved. "I've already got Charlie and Rider willing to babysit when it's born."

"Just sharp pains in my stomach." Pyxis shrugged and then took his hand. "I'm sure it's just the baby moving or something. I think it's a girl. It's too quiet in there."

"I still want to spend some time with it. Bond, you know? I get paternity leave from work, just like you get maternity leave," Walden said, smiling at the thought. He leaned over and kissed Pyxis softly, then her stomach. "I'm looking forward to our baby getting here."

He frowned. "Maybe we should get someone to come over and take a look at the two of you. Rabastan would do it. Just to make sure everything is all right. Your body's under a lot of stress right now."

	"Let's be more original than my father. Give the baby a name of their own," Walden said, rubbing Pyxis's stomach in a friendly way. He gave it a fond smile. "I can't wait for it to get here." 	Pyxis grumbled at Walden and shook her head. "We should be coming up with baby names." She informed him and tried to pull herself up from the couch, but couldn't. She sighed heavily. 	"Yes," Walden said, smiling and helping Pyxis get to her feet. He leaned down and kissed her softly, then wrapped an arm around her to help support her on the way down the hall. "Come on. 	Walden laughed at Pyxis's suggestion, waiting outside the room for her. "I don't know," he said. "Something nice. I like the name Mary. Traditional, but sweet. We could ask my mum for some help too. 	Walden felt a brief moment of sheer panic, and then he squahed it down, picking Pyxis up and carrying her to the couch, scattering kittens as he walked. "I'm calling," he promised, putting her down. He rushed to the fireplace and threw some powder into the Floo, then stuck his head in, yelling for Rabastan to come quickly. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

Rabastan had been in the kitchen, but he was at Walden's side in a flash. When he saw the wetness of Pyxis's pants, he knew what was happening. "Your water broke?" He asked and then pushed her trousers off. "I usually have to induce Macnair babies. You're may be able to have this vaginally."

Pyxis felt a sharp pain and screamed. "It hurts." She told him, shaking her head quickly. "I can't do this."

	"Don't be so coddling, Walden. You'll need to fuss back at her or she'll just get more frustrated." Rabastan pointed out and then slid off Pyxis's pants and began to do some set up for delivering a baby. He did a few spells and made sure that the baby was okay. "I'm going to cut it out of her.
