Charlie had gotten a pretty desperate message from Pansy about Draco needing some time off. Something about how he'd studied so much he'd become a boring person. And Charlie had to take a bit to even decide whether or not he wanted to talk to Draco. They'd gotten along fine the night Draco had spent at his house eating and chatting, but there would always be a little soreness there.

But, Pansy had been persistent in him spending time with Draco. Even if he was busy himself. He arrived at Malfoy Manor, dressed semi-casual for a change, and knocked on the door, waiting for Draco to answer.

Draco looked down at his shirt when Charlie re-sized it. At least it didn't have any stains on it. His fashion sense had suffered somewhat since becoming a parent. "At least I've gained back some of the weight I lost as Durmstrang."

He smiled at Charlie a little. "You have no idea how appealing that sounds. I can't wait to be done with my NEWTs, not that that will change much. It'll give me more time to sleep, at least, as long as the babies have learned to sleep through the night by then. Pansy is willing to look after Cepheus occassionally now, but I think Scorpius gets lonely without his brother to share a crib. He cries all night."

	Charlie walked Draco up to the door and then stepped inside with him. He glanced at Draco for a moment, thinking about what he'd said about his baby. Draco was so invested in being a father. "I'll watch him for you." Charlie promised him. "You can come by my hut and you can study while I watch him. I'm actually really good with kids." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"Really?" Draco wasn't sure he trusted other people with his kids, but having someone else around to look out for them sounded like heaven. And Charlie did seem like he'd be great with kids. "I guess with that many younger siblings you'd have practice."

He smiled at Charlie. "Thanks. For letting Pansy bully you into this and for the offer. Cepheus and Scorpius are really sweet kids. Scorpius is a bit moody, but Cepheus is a happy baby."

	"I figured you needed a break. It's been a couple of months since we've talked." Charlie told him, letting his eyes move over Draco's body. He missed him, as sad as it was. He missed talking to him. Draco had missed Charlie too. To be fair, he'd missed everyone he'd talked to before he began spending all his time either with the babies or with books, but Charlie was especially missed. "I did need one, but I wasn't willing to take one."

He hesitated for a moment when Charlie mentioned a shag, glancing at the bar too. "I'm only really interested in a drink. Pansy spends all her time shagging Rider now and thinks everyone else is under-sexed."

	Charlie laughed at that admittion. "Well. If it makes you feel better, the closest thing I've had to a sexual encounter was jizzing in a cup for my friend and letting her get it squirted inside of her." Draco wrinkled his nose. "That sounds disgusting," he told Charlie. "I'm not sure how it's supposed to make me feel better, thinking about things in cups being squirted into women. At least I haven't had to do that for Pansy yet. We talked about her having a baby of mine after she has Rider's child."

He leaned into Charlie a little when the arm wrapped around him, then stole one of the glasses away from him. It was easy to fall back into being comfortable with him. Which probably wasn't a good thing, but whatever. This was supposed to be fun.

	"Are you sure you're ready for another baby?" Charlie asked as he looked down at Draco. "I mean. I know that you have the money for it. I suppose you'll be out of school by that time." "It'll be a couple years at least before she has time to have my child," Draco told Charlie, shrugging. "And hopefully she won't... Hopefully after she has Rider's baby she'll be able to connect with the rest of her children a little more. I mean she's okay with Cepheus now, but I don't want Scorpius to grow up like I did, knowing only one of his parents loves him."

He took a sip of the whiskey and glanced around the bar. There were a few people, Charlie included, who he wouldn't mind... relaxing with, but he shook his head. "I told you. Drinking and not studying is enough of a break for me. You don't need to pimp me out for a one-night stand with a stranger."

"I love Scorpius." Charlie pointed out as he looked at Draco. "Sometimes when you're in class I come over to visit with your mother. And I get to play with him. Scorpius likes to fall asleep on my chest and won't let me move."

Charlie smiled at Draco for a moment. He paused, then leaned in and kissed Draco deeply, pulling him close. After a moment, he pulled back. "That is what you're missing. You're sure you don't want to find someone?"

Draco liked the thought of Charlie playing with Scorpius. He wanted to say so, but then he was being kissed and for the first time since they were born, the babies weren't the first thing on his mind. He blinked when Charlie pulled back, flushing slightly.

It took him a moment to realise Charlie wasn't offering to be the someone Draco found. "I... Yeah, I'm sure," he said, blinking to try and clear his head of inappropriate thoughts. "I didn't say it wasn't nice. I'd just rather talk to you. If you want. I understand if you don't want to spend your night with me."

Charlie looked back at Draco and shook his head. "I'd love to spend my night with you. I just assumed you wouldn't want to spend your night with me." He told him and then poured them both another glass of whiskey.

Downing it in one go, Charlie dropped his glass on the bar. He slid his hand into Draco's, holding it there. "I know you don't want a relationship and that you're busy." He told him. "But, don't think I don't want you."

	Draco glanced at their hands, then downed his own glass of whiskey. He felt nervous, which was odd, because Charlie had just handed him all the power in this situation. "It's not that I don't... It's not really about what I want," he said. "More about what I deserve, and I really don't deserve to have you want me anymore. Not after the way I acted and what I did." "You're young. You're not out of school. Your life has barely began." Charlie pointed out and looked Draco over. It wasn't that what Draco had did didn't hurt him still. But, he knew that Draco was young.

"When and if you're ever ready and you want me, I'll be around." Charlie told him. "And if you don't, we can always be friends like we are now. What you did was wrong, but you know it was. You're going to make a lot of mistakes, Draco."

"I don't want to make mistakes like that again," Draco told Charlie, shaking his head a little. "Maybe I'm young still, but I have two kids now. Pansy's have another with Rider, and then maybe a fourth. I shouldn't be making mistakes now. I need to be responsible."

Honestly, Charlie saying his life had barely begun made Draco want to laugh. Charlie was twenty-five and, for at least a few more months, he had less responsibilities than Draco did. "I need to learn to put other people first. I can't be selfish anymore."

"You need to relax a little more often." Charlie told him and shook his head. "You have a lot of people around you. Pansy may not be able to help with your kids, but your mother will. And I will."

He ran his fingers over Draco's hand. "I didn't come here with intentions of trying to shag you." He promised. "I merely wanted to take you out. But, I always have the urge to kiss you. I'm sorry."
