How often do you find it worth it to try to explain yourself to your parents?

I sometimes do and sometimes don't.  Obviously, there's a lot of stuff they need to be kept up on, and they've got great insight about specific things, but on some personal stuff, can be easier to just let them make assumptions, you know?  They've got Stuff to do, and they don't need details or clarifications.

My parents are dead. Rob tries, but a brother doesn't questions answered like a parent would.

Thanks. I don't remember them, but I like to think we would have had the kind of relationship that allowed open communication.
