That day just wasn't a good day for William Joseph Freeman. Mr. mind had been found again, Mr. Atom had been reconstructed, and now the Black Marvel was making a beeline with the previous two to his hometown with the intent of brainwashing his parents and leveling his hometown.
If he hadn't let his curiosity get to him, he wouldn't have found Sivanas old lab, Black Marvel wouldn't have found the paperwork talking about Mr. Mind.
Without the Mr. Mind paperwork, Mr. Atom wouldn't have been rebuilt with a stolen nuclear warhead.
If Mr. Atom hadn't been rebuilt, Black marvel wouldn't have been mentally enslaved herself by Mr. Mind.
And As William Joseph Freeman dives into the nuclear core, holding onto the possessed Black marvel and flying the malfunctioning Mr. Atom into orbit, Will laments that, if not for his own curiosity, he would be surviving past this day.
