I've made this observation that I thought was worth sharing. And that is during the IC chats and events like the ball, is it is really hard to stay in character. For me, both Sasakura and Link got out of character (very, very out of character), making it really frusterating come morning when I was recalling all the crap I handled badly. Like the whole 'Sasa' name-calling from Konata.

I think this has to do with the fact that when you chatting live time, you don't get as much time to think about what your characters are saying and doing. Also it becomes a little harder to distance yourself and not see things as personal attacks. I know I'm espeically bad about that and I'm trying to be better.

I know we try to stay in character on this RP, so I find this frusterating a little bit. And the worst part is I can't think of a good solution either.

I am in no way suggesting we abolish the IC chatting, but I think it might need looking into. Or, if its just me having these problems, please let me know and bare with me while I try to get past them.

Don't feel the need to rush yourself though in a real time situation. I took my sweet ass time responding to you guys and didn't have too much of a problem. You might find it helpful to slow down a smidge? Then as more and more people slow themselves down it should be a-ok!

Hmm, that might be it.

It usually happens when people feel they need to quickly respond and by quickly responding you end up just giving frustrated response that slowly slip further and further from the character. Dare to be a diva! Make them wait for you! IMO you respond pretty fast in threads as it is ICly so you should be okay making em wait a little bit for response in chat situations as well.

I type fast, so I try to reply fast. But thanks for the advice.

Yeah to be honest I'm actually new to the thread thing all my old RPs did them in IMs and chatrooms and then just posted the 'logs' behind the LJ cut with like a summary of what the log was above it. :D So I know chat/IM rp styles more than I know what the hell I'm doing here.
