11:19 pm - Underway
A voice comes from over the ship's coms.

"All crewmen, we have an hour before leaving drydock. All senior officers report to the observation room." There's a pause. "That does include Engineering."

Lt. Effie Barclay walked slowly through the corridor carrying a small stack of boxes containing various sample-extraction supplies, looking for an easily-accessible storage area to put them in and contemplating all the sorts of things she'd might well be putting in them in the near future. Where she was going was about six steps down on the concentration list.

Ensign Teera D'ok seldom has a good day, and that's fine by her. Two weeks out of the Academy, and still sporting a shiner from that last fight.  She refused to head to Sickbay for something so trivial. Where she came from, it would have meant some well-meaning lecture about her "place" if she went to a standard med center and the other option...they typically didn't have a lot of anything, so you ended up sucking it up unless something was broken.

But, damn...did it feel good to wipe that smirk off that guy's face.

Only things she had to her name was a rucksack of clothing, her cherry-red Fender bass guitar, and her diploma. Her only request for assignment? Get as far away from Trill as possible.

As she checks her closet-sized cartography lab and communications analysis equipment, she cracks a wide grin.

Looks like I got my wish.

02:59 am - At Home
Min was in the place she felt most at home. Engineering. She never felt comfortable anywhere else since she was young and tagging along behind her father as he worked. The majority of her life so far had been spent aboard ships, they were home to her not planets.

She couldn’t wait to get aboard the ship and get to work. Time waiting on the station had been torture and once she was on board she immediately started working. Her belongings, which weren’t much, were tossed in the office and she set about looking things over. Engines were inspected, diagnostics ran and settings checked. She knew the ship was in fine running condition, but an inspection was called for.

Days spent traveling had given her time to read over all of the technical specs and plans and she knew the ship like the back of her hand even before stepping a foot on board. Now that she was on board she HAD to look everything over. She wouldn’t be satisfied until she did. After the inspection then she could tackle the very long list of things that needed to be done.

She smiled as she went about her work.

04:23 pm - Oh Captain, my captain.

Where could the Captain be? This is really not good, I need to find her before the ship leaves...

A slightly agitated looking Vulcan walks quickly down the more populated corridors of the space station, occasionally stopping to ask if anyone had seen the captain of the USS Anubis recently. Finally, someone was able to give some helpful information, and she made her way to the ship itself.

When she manages to prove her identity to the security and assure them it was only a quick visit, she is allowed on board.  She finds a computer station and pushes a few keys. "Computer, locate the Captain."

This had better work...
