Halloween Party (for Saturday!)! Everyone!
Halloween was her favorite day of the year, outside of her birthday. And Christmas. And Valentine's Day! It was still pretty up there, considering that there were 365 days in the bloody year! Liz couldn't handle the excitement, whether it be from dressing Katie up in adorable little outfits (plural, because she simply could not pick one obnoxiously cute costume for her daughter) or doing her hair or making Ian dress up and the candy!

Ohhhh, the candy.

It was probably not a good idea to be on a full blown sugar rush when you left for a big party like this, but her fans (she had FANS!) were used to her rapid paced talk! So this should be the norm for everyone, because Liz Bell was a show stopper! The red carpet was sooo much fun, and the Bells were just sofreakinggoodlooking so why would the cameras not flash at them and sigh.

Halloween was the best ever.

"How are my buns?" she asked without looking up, unsure if she had wandered away from her husband or not. There were so many pretty costumes and lights and shiny things...it really wasn't her fault if she'd gotten lost in the crowd.

It was known, by very few people in St. Mungo's, that Mark Wood was a bit of a...there wasn't a better word for it, nerd. He read a lot of books, of course; his home library nearly wrapped around his office from floor to ceiling, the personification of a Ravenclaw's dream (and also added to people's surprise when they found out he was a Gryffindor). But the kind of books that tipped the scale from intellectual to nerd were those of the animated kind.

Well, not literally animated, like the comic books wizarding children (and...adults!) read, but the illustrated kind of books. Oliver had discovered his collection a few weeks ago and had been prying for information ever since. Mark was glad to finally have something to bond with his son over, and to be able to enjoy one of his favorite pastimes. He and Healer Smethwyck often got into conversations about comics in the corridors, but their conversations were often cut short by patients needing assistance or...teasing from the other healers.

Mark straightened up a bit at Hannah's compliments and his face slid into a quick smile. They really were the Fantastic Four, super powers or not.

"I think I'm enjoying the fact that I don't know where your hands may be." Mark just barely refrained from leering at his wife, but holy hell, every curve was right there for his eyes to appreciate. They had really nailed it, this year. To make his costume look like the comic, he had performed a stretching jinx on his left arm (definitely didn't want to mess with his wand arm), so it hung nearly to the floor. It was a strange sensation, but it made for fun when poking people in the back.

...or wrapping his arm around his wife. Mark laughed as his hand nearly circled Hannah's waist, and he shrugged, "Andre and I--we think alike. Makes for a good healer."

Hannah giggled at the elastic arm - okay it had been a little gross to begin with, the bones were just nearly gone - but now it was kind of funny and also, the spell had some definite perks for later. She would certainly have to look into that, but not right now. There were sugared-up kids at home. Perhaps she could get his mother to take them for the rest of the weekend...

It was really nice to have Mark all to herself tonight though, leaning her head onto his shoulder and her hand on his lower back, sort of teasing him just there. "Good healers are good. Keeps you safe. And Healer-In-Chief!" she said, grinning up at him, nearly beaming. It was not a hidden thing that she was so, so proud of her husband. He was just simply amazing and well, there was no doubt about that. "What kind of injustice should we fight tonight? I was thinking about those cheese croquettes, they need saving from the evil waiters."
