Raffle Dates!
It was hard to say that the raffle was a bad idea when it raised so much money for W.Q.W., and while there wasn't an official number yet, even Henry seem pleased with the result. But standing outside the Montrose Pitch, Seth was having a hard time remembering why he thought a raffle would be more fun than a traditional auction, where you couldn't bid on someone's behalf without their knowledge, or at least being able to find out who did it.

Seth was all for just not going since he was pretty sure that neither of them would be heartbroken if the 'date' actually didn't happen but with the amount of press that was at the event, just skipping out on it altogether wasn't an option. Especially since Seth was on of the co-founders of the charity the whole event was held to support. After a thirty minute lecture from Henry, which was mostly a list of things he was under no circumstances allowed to do, even if she provoked it, he was allowed to leave. So here he was waiting on Odette MacFarlan to show.

He shoved his hands in his pockets trying not to think of all the other time Odette and he did stuff for the sake of publicity that ended in complete and utter disaster. He had changed since he was Captain of the Magpies, and he could certainly handle one perfectly cordial lunch with her.

OOC: Heyyy everyone, feel free to use this post to put up threads for your quidditch raffle dates! Bound to lots of potential drama lurking about with this so, have fun! :D

Whether or not Seth had opted for a lunch date out of relinquished respect Odette did not want to question, and simply took as a blessing. Lunch dates did not have innuendos, lunch dates were in the sunlight, lunch dates did not require a formal dress code. It was just... lunch. In all honesty the thought made her unbelievably less tense, an occurrence that was quite rare these days, what with the playoffs schedule and her childish teammates.

Odette couldn't help but shake her head as she walked through the long tunnel from inside the stadium to its exterior. For a relatively smart group of players, it surprised her that the team still hadn't caught on to why she borderline crazily insisted they do ridiculous things during playoffs. Though, she supposed, it would be better if they just continued to argue and rant at her... She immediately threw her hand up to her eyes once they hit sunlight, blinking for a moment before putting on sunglasses and spotting her visitor.

Lovely.

Taking a deep breath, Odette closed her eyes to collect herself. This wouldn't be... that bad, right? Seth had shown he took his charity seriously, and that fact she would hold on tightly to for dear life to make it through these next two hours.

"So where are you taking me?" she asked promptly after approaching him, pushing her hair behind her shoulder with the back of her hand.

Seth was surprisingly good mood despite the fact that the Falcons just lost to the Magpies. He got a more than one good shot at MacFarlan on the pitch and hat made up for any left over pent up aggression he had. Next year, the Falcons would definitely make it much farther than first round of play offs. In fact, he was more than ready to be completely pleasant during this lunch.

"I was thinking that quaint restaurant you like just around the block." Seth said with a small shrug of his shoulder. He pulled his hand out of his pocket, holding out a single flower to her. He was completely capable of being cordial. W.Q.W. was far to important for him to be making a spectacle of this. "But if you have somewhere else in mind, I'm open to suggestions."

She couldn't help it, a suspicious look appeared on Odette's face when Seth produced a flower from within his coat. At least it wasn't a rose--- but still apart of the flora family nonetheless, and in her experience, that never meant a good thing when it came attached to the extended hand of Seth Wadcock. What did he expect her to do, take it? That would hardly be appropriate. At the same time, she knew he would positively throw a fit if she didn't take it.

Frustrated for a second (just like old times), Odette bit the insides of her mouth before snatching the flower out of his hands to bury it into her bag. She could give it to Terry later, or Anna, she supposed. Shaking her head to let out her hair, Odette continued the shake through her body. "That's fine," she said calmly, choosing to ignore his word choices.

Well. She knew where they were going, no need to waste any time about it. After briefly looking at Seth, Odette began to walk forward toward their destination. "Was the raffle successful?" she asked over her shoulder, finding that walking in silence with Seth had always been more uncomfortable that anything else.

Seth rolled his eyes as the flower was snatched out of his hand. He really honestly didn't mean anything at all by it, just picked it from his garden on his way out of the house. Thought it would be a nice gesture, certainly wasn't like he bought her a bouquet of roses. It was at the very least amusing to know somethings would never change.

He smiled lazily as he started following after her, not really bothering to make the effort to catch up with her. If she wanted to lead the way, he would let her. "Extremely." he said shoving his hands back into his pockets. "Haven't had the chance to sit down with Henry and go over the exact numbers, but from just skimming over everything, it looks like we have enough to supply quite a few camps for the summer. I don't think we'll have to hold another event until the fall, which is nice. I'd much rather spend my time with the kids than in some office orchestrating some party." Which was true. Kids were so much easier than adults. They weren't spending time trying to find hidden meanings behind his words. "I'm still amazed at the number of players that volunteered. I should get something for everyone to thank them, because its certainly not something I could have done on my own." He said shrugging a shoulder.

"Anyways, what about you? You have the Magpies ready to take out those hooligans from Kenmare?" Seth said changing the subject. He didn't want her to think W.Q.W was something that he did so he would have something to brag about. And talking about himself, or the thing he did, to Odette without bragging was just... odd, so he'd much rather avoid the conversation all together if he could. "Who knows you might even pull out back to back championships like United." Seth commented with a surprising lack of bitterness.
