Halloween Haunted Castle Event! Open to Everyone!
While she wasn't particularly keen on parties, she was set on saving wildlife. Everyone else seemed to rake in the galleons by throwing large events, no matter the scandals that erupted from them, so why couldn't they? Nora had conservatory's committee for quite some time now, and being the youngest by a good forty years, had devised this plan as a new and fresh way of funding. It helped greatly that she had friends that had access to some of the best party planners (or that she could twist Charlie Spinnet's ear until he helped her out), and things seemed to have turned out well. So far.

For the brave at heart, there was a grand maze that made its way throughout the haunted castle. Guests would be offered clues to get themselves to the ballroom, and if they were truly lost (as Nora was sure was to occur), for just a small donation (it's for charity), any money dropped into a clue box would light up a blue path down the correct route to lead the way out. With all the Gryffindors that Nora had put on the guest list, she was sure they were going to triple their goal.

There was a simpler route than the maze, which was simply to walk through the double doors to the dance floor. Nora was currently wavering between the two, having run out of pamphlets to give out at the front entrance therefore giving her no excuse to join the festivities. She felt rather exposed, as Delilah had stolen her cloak, and when someone tapped her shoulder she jumped nearly a foot in the air.

"Bloody hell!" she let out, spinning around. "You scared the life out of me!"

"Galvin Gudgeon!"

Her face popped with surprise, and Glenda withheld a nervous laugh. She hadn't quite realized what she had been saying until she said it, or at the very least, how it could be construed until the words had fallen out of her lips. Not that she entirely felt like it was the wrong message to send! Because she did want to, or at least she believed she did, so it would be wrong to say that she had been wrong to insinuate...

Glenda's brow knitted for a moment, as she felt herself divulging into a line of thought that was perplexing, and would definitely ruin the wonderful mood she was currently experiencing with Vinny. So, deciding to linchpin it until the appropriate time came, she shook her head slightly and pressed closer to the wizard before her.

"Are you suggesting," Glenda spoke lightly, with the greatest hint of amusement in her voice. Mock seriousness had never been a strong suit of hers; her higher-pitched voice would never allow it. "I take part in something that could tarnish my immaculate public image?"

Her lips pressed together to form an engaging smile.

She had not smacked him or sent him out the room. This was good. Vinny felt himself getting more and more excited in a few different ways, but he had to stay focused. This was about Gleny, not him. As much as his body ached for it to be about him, he knew it wasn't. This could lead to a big step for the both of them, but Vinny had been with other people since Marlie had been killed. Whether it was out of anger, from loneliness, or actually liking a person, he'd still moved past that wall.

He didn't want to assume, but Gleny had been married, not simply engaged. She had a child, and Vinny had no recollection of any bloke that may have been worthy of her in that way during these past four years.

This was a big deal.

His hold around her didn't tighten, but Vinny kept close. She had to know that she meant the world to him, right? That whether or not their night ended the same way it always did wouldn't change that. Vinny smiled, tilting his head side to side in a mischievous manner.

"I'd make it worth it," he said, eyes bright.

Her hands glided up toward his Vinny's face and rested there. Holding his jaw gently, Glenda let her fingers brush along his skin as she thought over the path blossoming before them.

She would be lying if she said she didn't detect a bit of fear in her heart, apprehension over such a serious topic being treaded so lightly, but perhaps... that was normal, and good. It had been a very long time since she'd allowed anyone in, physically or emotionally since Gideon's dead, the only exception being... the wizard standing before her. He had been there beside her all along, even when she pushed all her friends away, when she fled to Italy, even when they had kissed at that end of the season Quidditch party... it had been him all along, hadn't it?

Her grip on the sides of Vinny's face tightened, and her head tilted to express a long and full gaze at him. After Gideon's death, after the loss of the love of her life... it had always meant to be Vinny, their lives had meant to intersect with each other like this. The war may have torn away what should have been for them, separately, so perhaps this was... karma, the world righting itself to produce a glimmer of hope, life, and happiness within them again.

These thoughts comforted Glenda, quieted her worry and anxiety brewing within. Sliding her hands to the back of Vinny's neck, she tugged down on him as she balanced up onto the balls of her feet to close the gap between them. Stealing a quick kiss, a soft kiss, she thought, would be appropriate before speaking.

"Would you?" she murmured, a delicate smile present on her lips. Her eyes moved across his face, jumping to watch it as keenly as possible. "Then maybe we should start thinking about relocating somewhere a bit more private.."
