Klio had never snuck out of charms so fast. She was out the door and around the corner before Flitwick had finished his 'have a great day' speech. She flew up the stairs and around the corner, nearly colliding with some Hufflepuff who she gave a dark look before scuttling on. This was so unlike her these days, shooting down the halls with her head down and her books clutched tightly to her chest but she felt like a first year all over again. She was self-conscious and felt like the entire world was staring at her -- which actually could well have been true but she preferred to keep her gaze down so as not to find out.

Finally in front of the tower, Klio glowered when asked the answer and demanded to be let in, this was no time for stupid riddles. She was met with an easily opened portal and figured she probably wasn't the first pissy Ravenclaw to come by this morning after-all. Who the hell cared about when a door wasn't really a door, even if the answer was ajar. It just didn't matter to Klio today. There were more important things to be dealt with.

Continuing her whirlwind, Klio swept into her dorm room and threw her books onto her bed with gusto. Life essentially sucked today, that was all there was to it. Now where were those donuts stashed?

A flare of anger immediately flushed through Phoebe, and she pulled her wand out to shut and lock the dormitory door without getting up. Once she heard the click, she slammed her wand down to her bed, hands going up about her head.

"It's all Ashlyn's fault!" she let out, her voice going high and squeaky. Oh, she hated getting this riled up, but it was honestly uncontrollable. "She got in that stupid fight with Ingrid because she started snogging Ingrid's boyfriend and they broke up cause of that but then Ashlyn started telling me that she thought Ingrid was pregnant and then OTHER people must've started thinking that too and it is all Ashlyn's fault."

Which, if she could think, probably wasn't totally true. Ingrid Catchlove wasn't known to have the best of tempers, and when she was around dolts like Dodderidge, things could definitely get out of hand. So all of it, every last detail of this big whole mess, had to do with girls acting immaturely and seeking revenge for things that could have just been easily ignored.

"I feel so stupid because I've been defending everything she does, and--then it's like--I get screwed over for being a good friend, we get screwed!"

"Ugh," Klio groaned, "if one more person asks me about Ash I'm going to flipping scream!" She tore a bite out of her donut, frowning. "Becaushe euvrywon ashumes becaushe we're her friendshat we know what happened." Klio swallowed.

"Honestly at this point, I'm tired of trying to play referee, trying to keep everyone happy. Ash was being stupid when she attacked Ingrid but like get over it people. It's not our fault! Go be mean to her, why the hell do they need to drag us into it? I didn't defend what she did, I said she was off base, like what the fuck, Pheebs? They're taking this all way out of hand and we're taking the hits and what the hell does Ash get?" Klio took another big bite.

"Fucking leshbian, thash wha she gesh." She crossed her arms in front of her chest, clearly displeased and sighed again. Damn Ashlyn.

Phoebe's eyes widened a tiny bit at the last insult Klio flung (well, she supposed it was supposed to be an insult, it wasn't bad to be a---but--ugh), but slowly continued to chew. She hadn't exactly reached the point of mudslinging against Ashlyn, other than the ranting, but--well. No, she probably couldn't, it was just--augh, she wanted to, she really did, but Phoebe was constantly, constantly reminding herself that Ashlyn had been her friend since bloody first year, and one stupid mistake shouldn't mess all of that up and--

---ohhh, hell.

Phoebe leaned back into her headboard, looking thoughtful. They needed to retaliate, of course. She just had no idea how, she'd never been one for revenge. Phoebe would rather apologize than start a fight, but...augh.

"Maybe we could steal all their clothes or something. Make them disappear in the Great Hall," Phoebe's eyes lit up in shock at the idea, mouth dropping open. She leaned forward to look at Klio, not believing she was thinking these things, "Then we'd see who really is pregnant."

All I know is that Ash got us into this fucking mess and she's so not on my list right now of favorite people." Klio looked pointedly at Phoebe. "You think she's really preggers?" It would be really bad to start gossiping after all of this, right? Because, that was the whole reason they were in this mess--sorta. Well. Was it gossiping when it was true? Not that Phoebe really knew, but, like--all the clues were pointing toward there being a baby in at least one of the ovens of Gryffindor tower.

"I...dunno, to be honest," she finally decided on saying, "Be..cause, they've all been acting weird, and like, Ashlyn did say Ingrid got all funny when she accused her of being pregnant and like---" Phoebe's nose furrowed, "But then it was Eliza who was asking questions, and I mean."

She shrugged, "Maybe it's McGonagall that's pregnant," Phoebe let out a giggle and covered her mouth, "Maybe she and the Headmaster are having a baby and she needed it to be covered up!"

Klio giggled. Dumbledore and McGonagall having a baby would be like her grandparents having a baby. Ew. That was just wrong. A McGonagall baby would be sorta cute though.

"I just can't imagine she'd want people talking, whoever it is. They should know better than to start all sorts of shit around school. Seriously though, Ash is the one getting it easy. They only tag her with lesbian while the rest of us are sluts. Except for me. I'm labeled as desperate," Klio flopped down onto the bed, face first. "And it's true," she said in a muffled voice into her sheets. "Desperaaaaaaaaaate." And hopeless. And pitiful.

Phoebe pouted greatly at Klio. Of course she'd known about her friend's crush on Smeth, she'd been trying to hook them up for years, but--it really just wasn't nice. Did the Gryffindors have to show their boyfriends or whatever? Emmeline and Juliet's boyfriends were mean, did they not know--

"You're not desperate," Phoebe said with a nod, absentmindedly wiping her fingers on the edge of her pillow case. "You're not. People are just---stupid. Including boys. Boys are stupid and...and we don't need them."

She slid off her bed and went and bounced onto Klio's, avoiding knocking her knees into her friends' head.

"We don't need boys. We need to be awesome, and boys don't make things awesome, they make things miserable and dumb. No boys."
