Sorry It's Just Me
Anya's life was getting back on track, for the most part. There was still one thing that was left unresolved. Anya grabbed a few things from the Avengers Mansion, stuffed them in a bag and then took a cab to Xavier's. During the ride over she ran through in her mind what she would say a million and one times. This was not going to be easy, but it had to be done. She may have been brainwashed into being Lady Mandarin, but she remembered everything she did and said. Including that which was said and done to people she cared about.

She grabbed the bag and climbed out of the cab.

Taking a deep breath she opened the gate and went to find Sarah.

Sarah is easy to find. Her left arm is becoming sort of usable again, so predictably, she's pushing it to its limit and taking advantage of friendly hosts and a lot of people recovering - the latter isn't good, but it means the line for the danger room is short.
By the time Anya gets there, the timer says she's been in there three and a half hours.

When she's buzzed and alerted to company, Anya is met at the room doors by a very sweaty Sarah with a very swollen, not-moving left arm, but a big smile.

"Anya!"

	She keeps Anya held up in one arm, but quits spinning. She does take her out of range of anyone overhearing or any danger room cameras before answering. "Let's see, my arm is feeling better, I checked - and they're giving you a clean bill of health, and just between you and me, I have a date!" (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"I appreciate it... though I've been hoping you could tell me, back from what? I know I've been gone, but don't remember where or why. My memory has big gaps in it. Last thing I remember before showing up in China was the night out, then nothing."

She pauses, letting Anya down and relaxing. She'd be more stressed about what happened - it hurt, but right now, she's on cloud nine and her heart isn't aching for once.
"Its ok. You weren't yourself."

	"It's not okay," Anya insisted. "I said and did horrible things and I hurt you. I'm so sorry. Forgive me?" Anya tilted her head. "Sarah, you left with the Exiles. a dimension hopping team. "I still feel horrible about it," Anya said and looked away.

"Yes, the Exiles. Rose went with you. You two left and went to go fix worlds. Things that went wrong. You had a thing called the Tallus appear on your wrist. It gave you a message and you knew you had to go. We had a whirlwind world tour, we talked and then...." Anya looked back at her. "We kissed and then you disappeared."

	"You shouldn't. Be glad you're back to you, and she's gone." she assures, before listening to the rest of it. After a moment, she winces, then looks at the invulnerable bangle on her wrist, silent til now. She blinks a couple times, and all the cheerfulness and most of the color drains out of her face. 	Sarah staggers back against the wall and slides down it, tucking her knees up to her chest, arm wrapping around her knees, burying her face. "Its all coming back. "I don't... I don't... I don't know anymore." she says, trying to pull herself together, having to start over a few times to get the words out.
"I know what we're doing is important. I know someone has to do it. I want to save my world... and all those others, but... but..."

She nestles against Anya, looking miserable.

"But I want a life. And...and..."

"And I have a date." she manages, burying her head in Anya's shoulder.

"Can't." she murmurs, drying her eyes and trying to make the tears stop. She's already on herself to try and suck it up. Had this not hit her all at once, she'd be better - she's sure of it. She's a Rogers, damnit.

When she speaks again, the answer is almost more miserable, possibly the saddest fashion this phrase has ever been uttered. "We're going to Disneyworld."

She slumps back, finding her voice, for the moment, anyway.

"Anya, I can't. The Exiles are scattered across the world, I need to get them together. This one is really, really bad. End of the world kind of bad it sounds like."

She sighs.
"And I shouldn't. I mean, I know its just one date, but you know how hard Gretchen was... how hard leaving you was. I don't know if I can take... you know, starting something. I'm starting to really like her. Maybe really like her. Even if we had time... for Disneyworld... I don't know if I can take it."

	Its almost two minutes before she can stop crying enough to talk again, trying about half a dozen times in the meanwhile before just slumping onto Anya, or against the wall again. 	Anya just held Sarah while she cried. Her heart ached for her friend. If there was anything Anya could do to help her, she'd do it in a heartbeat. "Why don't you ask her what she wants?
