Merlin was so tired. It was Wednesday night and the fast food place he was working at was jam packed all night. His feet were sore and he smelled like a giant grease ball. Worst of all, he was too tired to even take off his uniform. He sighed heavily as he fell onto his couch, curling up into a ball and letting out a loud groan, slipping his shoes off.

This was just him getting by. This was him making a better future for himself and not taking handouts. He was a big boy.

Lucius had been thinking about Merlin a lot since he'd last seen him. It had only been three days, but the things they'd done in the hotel room were hounding him in his sleep and distracting him at work. If he could just... do them again than maybe he'd get it out of his system.

He knew Draco wouldn't be with Merlin on a weekday so he went straight from the office to Merlin's flat, after telling Evan he was going to be home late. He knocked on the door to Merlin's place, holding a bag full of groceries in his hands. Any excuse.

Merlin grumbled and looked at his phone to see what time it was. He sighed. It was late. Why would someone be knocking on his door so late? He pushed himself up, muscles aching from lifting large vats of grease all day and he really just did not want to deal with anyone.

He pulled open the door and leaned against the frame, then noticed it was Lucius. "Oh. Hey." He looked him over, then looked down at his own uniform, feeling ashamed. "I didn't know you were coming."

"I didn't tell you," Lucius said, nodding in agreement as he looked Merlin over. The uniform was really not very flattering. Not like the suit Lucius kept picturing tearing Merlin out of. "You look exhausted."

He walked past Merlin, into the flat, and set his bag of groceries on the kitchen island. "You can lie down on the couch. I'll put together something to eat. What you're doing is very admirable, you know. You really want to make it on your own."

"It doesn't feel admirable. It feels like death." Merlin laughed as he shut and locked his door. He ran a hand through his hair and looked Lucius over briefly. "I'll go get changed."

He undid the buttons of his shirt and slid it off, walking into his room, hoping his muscles loosened.

"Hard work usually does feel hard," Lucius agreed, watching Merlin take his shirt off as he left the room. He pulled out the groceries he'd brought over, beginning to slice up the fruit he'd bought. Lucius was not a very good cook, but crackers, fancy cheese, and some fresh fruit never went wrong. He even had a bottle of wine.

He looked up when Merlin walked back into the room, picking up the tray of food he'd put together and carrying it over to the couch. "When I first started working, I'd come home and pass out without eating."

"I usually at least have coffee." Merlin replied, pulling on his tank and sitting at the bar to watch Lucius. He smiled at him for a moment, then leaned across the counter to kiss him softly on the lips. Because he could.

"How was your day?" He asked, reaching out and taking a piece of cheese.

Lucius looked up at Merlin and smiled when he was kissed. "Busy," he said. "Dull, but I suspect you'd rather spend your time doing what I do than working where you're working now. I spend most of my time in meetings or conference calls now."

He opened the bottle of wine, pouring them both a glass and then taking a seat. "Looking forward to starting school again?" Lucius ate a bit of apple.

"I would much rather be doing what you're doing. Conference calls sound so nice." Merlin laughed softly. "After my first day at work, I was considering whether or not prostitution would be a better career choice."

He took a sip of his wine, eyes moving over Lucius. "No. I'm worried about starting school and working at the same time. I'm already tired just from work."

Lucius laughed at that, taking a sip of his wine. "You'd make more money as a call boy," he said. "You're very attractive, and we know you're all right with fucking older men."

He reached for a piece of cheese and a cracker, looking Merlin over. "You're a very capable young man, Merlin. You'll be able to handle the pressure. But if you find it gets to be too much, I want you to contact me right away. I'm here to help. I care about you. I don't want you to work so hard you end up killing yourself."

"I don't think anyone has ever died at my age from working too hard." Merlin laughed, looking Lucius over carefully. He smiled at him and then leaned in, kissing him softly again, hand slipping up his chest.

"So, you think I should be a call boy?" Merlin arched a brow, looking over Lucius. "Getting fucked by all those older men?"

Lucius laughed, pulling Merlin into his lap. "Are you trying to make me jealous?" he asked, arching an eyebrow at him. "I said you'd be good at it. Just because you'd be good at something doesn't mean you have to do it."

He rubbed his hand against the front of Merlin's trousers. "You'd probably even enjoy yourself. I know what I can do. I'm not worried about other men."

Merlin laughed softly, letting out a small moan when Lucius rubbed at him through his trousers. He kissed him deeply for a long moment, then pulled back a bit, holding a bite of cheese to Lucius's lips.

"I missed you." He admitted. "I know I shouldn't, but, I did."

Lucius ate the cheese, kissing Merlin's fingertips. "It's all right to miss me," he said. "I couldn't stop thinking about you today. It's why I came over."

He brushed his fingers through Merlin's hair. "Honestly, I think I want you to miss me."

"You want me to miss you?" Merlin asked, looking Lucius over for a moment. This whole relationship was unhealthy for the both of them. They were in other relationships and Merlin loved Draco more than life itself.

He sighed softly. "What are we doing, Lucius?" He asked, his hand sliding up his chest.

Lucius hesitated for a moment. It was a good question. This was bad for both of them and they both knew it was bad. Lucius and Evan had been together for years. Merlin was his son's boyfriend.

"I don't know," he said, sighing. "We should know better. We're both intelligent. I just know that it feels good."

Merlin nodded at that and looked up at Lucius. "It does." He told him, messing with his tie. "It feels really good, actually. I just want... I don't know." He ran a hand through his hair.

"I love your son." Merlin told him quietly. "He'd hate me if he found out about this."

Lucius sighed. "I love Evan," he said, running his fingers through Merlin's hair. "If Evan knew about this he'd kill me right before he left me."

He brushed their lips together softly. "Do you want to stop?" Lucius asked. "End whatever it is we're doing now and find a way to get back to the way things were before?"

Merlin looked back at Lucius for a moment, then shrugged. "I don't know." He admitted quietly. "I mean... I really like what we do together. I like being with you and the way you fuck me."

He sighed. "But, I do love Draco. And I don't want to hurt him. I don't know."

Lucius nodded, kissing Merlin softly. "Forget about it for now," he said, pressing a glass of wine into Merlin's hand. "Just drink and relax. We can worry about what we're doing later."

He picked up his own glass of wine, taking a sip. "I came over to help you relax, not to make you worry even more."

"I don't think I can relax with how bad my body hurts." Merlin pointed out, looking Lucius over. "You're lucky. You can sit in a chair all day. I was lifting large things of grease and boxes of chips."

He kissed Lucius's neck softly. "We should take a bath."

Lucius nodded in agreement, setting his wine lass down. "You go run the bath. I'll bring the food and our drinks," he said, smiling at Merlin.

He slid a hand down the boy's back. "A bath will be good for you, especially if you're sharing it with me."

Merlin nodded at that. "Yes. It will be." He promised him, slipping off his clothes as he got into the bathroom. He bent over the bathtub, starting to run the water.

He poured some bubbles in, thinking about the baths he shared with Draco. He loved Draco. Why did he keep doing this?

Lucius gathered up the food and the wine, walking into the bathroom behind Merlin and smiling at Merlin's arse. "You look good," he said, setting the things down and walking up behind Merlin, wrapping his arms around him and kissing the back of his neck.

He pulled back to strip his own clothes off. Merlin was right to be worried about what they were doing and why they were doing it, but they had tonight to themselves. They should enjoy it.

Merlin made a soft noise when Lucius pulled him close like that. He liked the affection. He liked the feeling of being taken care of by someone. Someone who didn't mind taking care of him.

He turned in his arms and kissed him softly. "Will you help me get a better job?" He asked him quietly. "So I have more free time?"

Lucius looked down at Merlin and nodded. "Of course," he said, running his fingers through Merlin's hair. "I'll see if we have any internships opening up at work and line you up for an interview if we do. I'll ask around too. See who's hiring."

He brushed their lips together. "Let's get in the bath. I'll rub your back."

Merlin nodded and waited for Lucius to get into the water, the slid in between his thighs. He hummed softly at the feeling of the hot water rushing over his body, leaning back against Lucius's chest.

"I love baths." Merlin told him, turning to kiss Lucius's shoulder. "Especially after the day I had."

Lucius ran his hands up and down Merlin's chest gently. "When I lived here, I loved this tub," he said. "I used to spend hours in it."

He reached for his glass of wine, taking a sip and then offering it to Merlin. "I was older than you are now though. I loved living here."

"I love this tub now. I spend a lot of time in it." Merlin admitted with a soft laugh. "It's a great flat. You should have stayed here if you loved it so much. I'm sure Evan wouldn't have minded."

He kissed Lucius softly, settling against him. "You are here with me quite a bit. Now I think it's because you love the flat so much."

"Evan probably wouldn't have, but when Narcissa and I got married we had to live somewhere together. Especially when Draco was small. Now that he's older, maybe Evan and I will move out with Rowan and find a better place. Something less old-fashioned than our current London house. I know Narcissa and Thor prefer their cottage."

He laughed at the accusation that he was over a lot because he liked the flat. "Maybe that's part of it, but you've added a lot of interest to the flat as well."

"Maybe Draco will move in with me." Merlin replied, looking at Lucius. "I think I'd like that. Him living here all the time. Maybe he wouldn't be as sad as he always seems to be."

He sighed softly. "Maybe he'll marry me. Do you think he'd like that?" He asked, giving Lucius a hopeful look.

Lucius looked down at Merlin, reaching up to pet at his hair. "Narcissa won't let him move out or get married until he's university age, but I think he probably would like that. He's a lot like his mother."

He kissed Merlin's forehead and sighed. "You said he seems sad?"

"We argue a lot." Merlin admitted as he looked up at Lucius. "He's trying really hard and I recognize that. I'm just an idiot and I feel like he's always trying to out do me or something. And he whines about how much his life sucks when I feel like it couldn't get any worse for me."

Merlin sighed softly. "Maybe I don't deserve him. Maybe I should break up with him."

"Draco is always going to be a bit dramatic," Lucius said, after thinking about Merlin's situation for a moment. "If you'd rather not deal with that part of him, maybe the two of you would be better apart. But, if you love him, try to slog through the rough patch you're in now. Draco can feel like he's having a hard time even when you're putting up with something worse."

He rubbed Merlin's thigh. "I will say, Draco won't be very quick to take you back if you break up with him, and I think it's up to him to decide if you deserve him or not, not you."

Merlin sighed heavily and nodded. "Yeah. I know. I just... I want to give him everything. And I have nothing to give him. I feel like I'm not good enough for him anymore. In every part of my life."

He rested his head against Lucius. "I'm in this position as it is because of him. Because I loved him so much I couldn't lie anymore."

Lucius kissed Merlin's temple. "Draco is a spoiled brat," he said. "I'm as responsible for that as Narcissa is, I know. He doesn't need anything physical. He just needs you to dote on him a bit, when you have the energy for it."

He combed his fingers through Merlin's hair, petting at him. "And when you're older and you've established yourself, you'll be able to give him more and you'll know he's not just with you for your money."
