Rabastan hadn't eaten in three days. He hadn't even seen Walden Sr. He assumed it was three days. He'd heard the man leave in the morning and return in the night, but he hadn't come into the dungeon for anything. He'd thought that he'd at least come down to rape him or check on him. But, he hadn't even done that. He ran a hand through his hair, still a bit sore from the abuse prior.

When he heard Walden's feet clogging against the floor above him, he wondered how close it was to Christmas. And if he was even going to make it until then. Or if Walden Jr. would come save him.

Walden had known, as soon as Rabastan went missing, who had taken him. It could only be his father. Everyone else seemed to think someone had a problem with the Lestranges, because of the elder Lestrange's murders, but Walden knew better. He also knew that the longer he waited, the more likely it was that Rabastan would end up dead.

Usually he stayed at Hogwarts over Christmas, but he'd gotten on the train with everyone else this year and then staked out his house for a little while, waiting for the right moment. It occurred to him, belatedly, that he should have told Rodolphus about his brother's location, but it was too late now.

When his father left the second morning Walden watched the house, Walden gave himself some time, in case the man doubled back, and then walked in. He headed down to the dungeons right away, pushing the door open and drawing his wand, in case there were traps. He found Rabastan in a cage in the dungeon and sighed, walking over and opening the door with a spell. "Come on," he said. "We need to leave before he gets back. We'll go to your brother's house."

When he heard the footsteps, he was confused. Walden shouldn't have come back that soon. But, then he was staring at Walden Jr. He kept his eyes on him as he crawled out of the tiny cage and did his best to push himself up from the floor, but couldn't.

"I.." Rabastan felt dizzy. He reached up to touch his hand. "I don't think can stand up, Wallie."

"Fuck." Walden frowned at Rabastan for a moment, then hauled him up and over his shoulder. "I'd ask where your wand was, but knowing my father he broke it."

He looked over his shoulder at Rabastan. "If something hurts, just suck it up for now. My father probably has alarms set up to know if you get out of the cage." He started up the stairs.

"He did break it. I don't have a wand anymore." Rabastan told Walden as he reached up to wipe at his face, feeling tears tingling at his eyes. He didn't want to cry, but he couldn't help it. Maybe he was finally going to escape and everything would be okay.

"Are you sure he's gone?" Rabastan asked, taking a calming breath.

Walden didn't see a point in lying to Rabastan. "No," he said. "He's more troll than he is human. I'm never sure of anything with him, except that he'll kill anyone who lingers in front of him for too long. That's how he operates. Shut up and let me concentrate on not getting us killed."

He pushed open the front door to the castle and stopped, staring at his father.

Walden Sr. glared at his son. "What do you think you're doing?" he asked. "Did I give you permission to play with my toys? It seems to me that you need to be taught yet another lesson, Walden. Maybe I should have kept your brother alive instead of you."

Rabastan tensed in Walden's arms when he heard the older man's voice. This was it. He was going to die now. There was no way around it. Walden had gotten him killed for sure now. He closed his eyes and then slowly turned in Walden's arms to look at the man.

"Please." Rabastan's voice was hoarse. "Don't hurt him. I'll go back with you."

"Don't be an idiot," Walden snapped, looking down at Rabastan. "Then he'd just kill us both as soon as he had you safely locked up again."

Walden Sr. laughed at the boys in front of him. "You're both suck fags," he said, giving them both a hateful once-over. "Worthless little things no one's going to miss when they're gone."

"I'm sure that's why Rabastan's brother has a reward out for him," Walden said, rolling his eyes. He put Rabastan down and cast a spell to hold him in place and keep him from doing something stupid, like running to his father. "Stay there while I deal with him."

Rabastan didn't like that he was being held in place like this. Where he couldn't move and like he was being controlled. He'd already been locked in a cage long enough. And he would have been more help to Walden if he could move.

"Don't." Rabastan shook his head. "I don't want you to die."

Walden looked down at Rabastan. "I'm not planning on dying. I'm not planning on letting you do something stupid either," he told him. Walden turned his attention back to his father. At least he'd wiped that stupid smirk off his face.

Walden Sr. scowled as he looked at his son, searching him for a weakness. Something he could exploit. "You think you're a big man?" he asked. "Your brother couldn't beat me."

"Weldon was fifteen," Walden said. He tucked his wand away just as his father lunged at him, driving a fist into his stomach. Walden hit back, as hard as he could.

Rabastan didn't want any of this to happen. If Walden died, he'd have nothing. Nothing other than Remus, whom he thought would hate him by the time he made it back to school. He felt himself start to cry as he watched the two of them, his heart pounding hard against his ribcage. He wanted to help Walden kill him. He needed to.

Walden Sr. grabbed Walden's throat, shoving his son and then following him down to the ground, landing on top of him. "You're so weak," he growled. "I'll give you exactly what I've been giving your faggot boyfriend." He reached down to undo his trousers.

Walden fought harder when his father started trying to take his trousers off, punching the other man in the head until his grip loosened enough for Walden to gasp and take in some air.

Rabastan felt like he was going to cry even harder. He pushed at the spell keeping him place and shook his head. He didn't want Walden to be hurt again. Not because of him.

Reaching up, he rubbed at his eyes and then pushed at the spell again. "Get up!" He told him, shaking his head. "Just run, Walden."

Walden glanced back to glare at Rabastan and his father grabbed his hair, slamming his head against the ground and then getting him onto his stomach. Walden struggled, reaching down and managing to get his hand around his wand right before his father shoved his trousers down.

Walden Sr. laughed as he rubbed his prick against his son's arse. He reached down and shoved himself inside the boy, growling with pleasure. "Such a fucking faggot," he said. "You love my cock, don't you? I know you do. Do you let your pretty boy fuck you like this? I bet you do. I bet you let every boy at Hogwarts fuck your hungry little arse."

Rabastan screamed when Walden was thrown down on the ground like that and shoved into. He didn't want him to be hurt like this. To be treated like this. He loved him and Walden loved him back.

Closing his eyes, Rabastan focused on breaking the spell around him. And when he did, he grabbed Walden's wand and cast the Cruciatus Curse, focusing all his hatred for the other man to make the spell powerful.

Walden Sr. screamed when the spell hit him, and he was a man who could take a lot of pain. Walden took the chance when he had it, hitting his father hard with his shoulder and managing to squirm free. He rolled them over as quickly as he could, pinning the other man to the ground as Rabastan's curse made him scream and scream.

Walden grabbed a rock and hit his father's head with it until the screaming stopped, and then kept hitting him, again and again, not caring about the blood or the bone that he was splattering on himself.

Rabastan watched Walden and what he was doing. He watched the rock bash into the man's now crushed skull, feeling dizzy and weak. He hadn't eaten. And after remembering that, Rabastan collapsed to his knees again, looking at Walden.

"He's dead." He told him, eyes closing a bit. "He's dead, Walden."

Walden kept hitting his father until Rabastan's words finally penetrated the haze he'd been in. He looked up at the other boy, suddenly realizing what Rabastan had seen.

He wiped blood onto his shirt and then pulled his trousers up hastily. "We... I'm taking you to your brother's house," he said, not meeting Rabastan's eyes as he took his wand back from him. He held Rabastan tight to his chest for a long moment, closing his eyes, not moving yet.

Rabastan shook his head and pressed closer to Walden. He ran his fingers through the other boy's hair and then pulled him into a kiss. He touched his chest, then leaned in and licked a bit of the blood off of his cheek.

"I'm staying here with you." Rabastan whispered and then kissed him deeply for a long moment. "I love you."

Walden looked at is father's body for a moment, then shook his head. "I'm not staying here," he said. "I'll stay with you." Even if he wasn't sure he could look Rabastan in the eye ever again. Not after what he'd seen.

He apparated them outside the Lestrange Estate and stood, holding Rabastan close to his chest as he walked up to the front doors. They'd have food and clothes for him. His brother would be happy to see him. He'd probably take care of his father's body. Walden didn't ever want to see the man again. He knocked on the front door.

An elf answered, staring at them both for a long moment before popping away. Walden stepped inside and kicked the door shut, listening as he heard someone running down the echoing corridor.

"Rabastan?" Rodolphus barely managed to stop himself from barreling into them. He stared at Walden and Rabastan, covered in blood, for a long moment, then rushed forward and hugged them both. "Thank Merlin you're alive. I won't even ask about the blood or -- clothes. Rinchor! Get Rabastan's clothes!" he yelled, glancing over his shoulder for the elf.

Rabastan looked back at Rodolphus for a moment, but didn't move away from Walden. He wouldn't even let him put him down. He wrapped his arms around the other boy's neck and hid his face against him. He didn't want to be paraded around at that particular moment.

"Take me upstairs." He whispered to Walden and then sighed. "Run me a bath."

"He says he wants a bath," Walden said. "My father had him in his dungeon." He started up the stairs. He was pretty sure Rodolphus would follow, but when they got to the bathroom he could lock the other boy out and have Rabastan to himself for a while. He wanted to take care of him. Just for now.

"Of course," Rodolphus said, following them up the stairs. "The bathroom is down the hall on the right." He didn't like the sound of Rabastan being in a Macnair dungeon at all. It was fucked up. His brother shouldn't be put through things like that. "Where is your father now?"

"Dead," Walden turned, turning and walking down the hall when he reached the top of the stairs. "Have the food delivered to the bathroom. He's starving." He walked into the room and shut the door in Rodolphus's face.

Rabastan waited until the door was shut to press a firm kiss to Walden's lips. He closed his eyes for a moment, then slid out of his arms and sat on the toilet as he stared at the tub. He felt broken and starving. Weak.

"I thought you'd never come." He told Walden quietly as he looked at him, his usual blue eyes a pale grey, bags under his bruised eyes. "I thought I was going to die."

"You would have if I hadn't gotten you out of there," Walden told Rabastan, turning the water in the tub out. He made sure the temperature was all right, then let it run, looking up and meeting Rabastan's eyes for the first time since he'd killed his father. "Don't tell anyone," he said. "About what you saw. About my father and... me."

He looked away again, at the water. "What happened doesn't matter anymore. Neither does what you thought might happen after. You're safe and you're alive. That's what matters."

"I would never tell anyone about it." Rabastan promised Walden as he looked back at him. He slid onto the floor and crawled towards where Walden was and reached up, touching his cheek so he could turn his face back to look at him. He gave him a very serious look.

"It's nothing to be ashamed of, Walden. You know about me." Rabastan told him and then kissed him softly on the lips. "It's not anything you could help. You were forced. I don't think any differently of you."

"Don't think of it at all," Walden ordered, shaking his head and looking away, frowning at the floor. "I don't like to think of it. It's... I should be stronger than that."

He scowled, feeling disgusted with himself. "It's sick. I'm glad he's dead. I've fantasized about killing him ever since I was a kid. He deserved it, for what he did to you." Walden looked at Rabastan for a moment, then picked him up and put him in the tub. "Food will be here soon."

"Your dad had more troll blood than you. There was no escaping that, Walden." Rabastan informed him and then shook his head. "But, I won't talk about it. I won't even bring it up. I'm sorry. I love you."

Walden looked at Rabastan, watching his body in the water for a moment. "You'll get clean," he said. "I can see the dirt coming off already." A tray full of food appeared beside them and Walden reached over, picking up the bowl of soup from the tray and setting it on the edge of the tub. "Can you feed yourself?"

He didn't want to be like a woman, all worried and emotional, but there was a part of him that... was. He shifted next to Rabastan. "I should clean up too. I have blood and brains on my hands."

Walden looked at Rabastan for a moment, then nodded and went to the sink, rinsing off his hands before stripping off his clothes. He would like to wash his father's touch off his skin anyway.

"That's okay. I really don't mind having yo this close." Rabastan told him as he pressed his lips against Walden's chest. He smiled at him for a moment, then pressed their lips together and sat back just a tiny bit so he could grab the soap.

He took a cloth and lathered it up, then ran it up Walden's chest and to his neck, cleaning him a bit. "I missed you." He told him. "Were people worried about me?"

Walden hummed, letting Rabastan wash him, even if Rabastan was the one who was really dirty. "Your brother has a reward out for your safe return. Fifteen-thousand, I think. Maybe I'll get paid for bringing you home. That would be nice."

He took the cloth from Rabastan, beginning to scrub him down. "But I'll take the reward money from your brother and he can go get rid of the body for me."
