Super-hero costumes.

Sometimes you need to think about them.

Okay what do you look for? I'm talking color. Style.

And why capes? They don't seem practical.

Sometimes, I want to suit up in that ridiculously durable purple Professional look, like my dad. Other times, I like to work with the browns and ambers to go with the name-theme. The shades are always a nod to Dad either way.

Purple is a good color. It's very nice.

Amber was never a color I would think of. Normally I'm a suit kind of gal so black or navy are what you'll see me in most of the time.

Thanks.

Well, amber has to be used just right. Someone like you'd be better with more of an apricot when it comes to tha tkind of palette. And just while we're at it, I'd recommend some suits in warm grays for your coloring, although I bet the navy stuff looks good.

Navy suits are my really professional ones. I have one or two in this nice smoke gray. They're more for when I need to be really dramatic. Not that I do that often but it helps sometimes.

Sometimes you need to make a statement with a suit. I understand.

Capes are awesome! It's a classic look!

But they're so easy to trip on!

Edna says no capes!

Why does she say that?

Because capes can get in the way and get you hurt.

Capes are a terrible idea. Capes are for would-be dictators with goatees and bad haircuts.

Armor, however, is always a good idea.

What kind of armor?

I'm not planning on looking like a giant tin can. I need to be able to really move around.

Well, while I normally advocate as much armor as one can get, you can probably set yourself up with some decent protection that still allows you to move.

Tri-weave kevlar plates spread out to protect vital areas is probably your best bet. Do it right and you can hide enough stuff on your person to let you adapt to almost any situation.

People used to ask my dad why he never wore the cape with the armor. He said it was tempting fate.

Capes can be surprisingly effective, if you know how to use them. They can misdirect attacks, they can entangle foes... there are several options.

Labcoats.

And I can't stand spandex bodysuits because my whole family wears them and I just don't like them.
