Alice slowly came to. Her vision groggy, she blinked, glancing around as her senses slowly came to her. SHIELD med-bay. She'd been here a couple of times before, but never overnight. Alice tried to sit up, but couldn't as a sharp pain coursed through her body. The last thing she remembered was the fight with Gargantua...and getting her ass handed to her. Alice moaned, wondering how long she'd been out for.

	Sammy couldn't answer that either. She had no idea what day it was or who was still alive. Only that too many agents were dead and she had to answer for it. A painful cough from sounded a lot like 'clusterfuck'. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"He had to. He's tough." Sammy didn't know Uncle James had been with the rescue team, but him not surviving was unthinkable. The same with the others. She had no memory of what happened with the others. Qamar could be in the next room.

She opened her eyes wider to see if the nurse was still in the room, but the woman was already gone. Ten minutes before someone else came in? Fifteen? One of them might still be conscious for it.

	Alice breathed a sigh of relief. Good. She just needed to know that Dad was safe. She couldn't even begin to think of what she'd do if he wasn't. "No one's in a coma or anything worse...right?" The generalities weren't enough. Sammy needed more information on the others. She was the team leader, dammit. Dad wouldn't settle for so little information about his people, and neither would she.

"Full update or I'm going to see for myself." Whether her body would cooperate was the trick. "Al, if he doesn't give it to us, start crying to distract him and I'll go find out."
