What are friends for? Don't get me started...
Melissa appears inside of her (well, it's May's now) apartment, and helps herself to a drink in the fridge. She doesn't see May about and tries to remember her class schedule. Wait, around now...she's at practice for the Gymnastics Team. Melissa knows that her friend is really graceful for being so tall, kind of like Kelly. In fact, Mel can't remember ever seeing either of her two favorite women ever tripping over something or bumping into a wall, like, ever.

Melissa envied them for that, but decided to sit down on the couch and flip on the TV. Less than thirty seconds in, she's flipping the channels aimless, which Spelling Bea greatly dislikes. It's worth sometimes just to see her grumpy, though.

"Anytime now, Pretty Parker. We're on Genuine People Time right now." she says, toying with the idea of fixing up the wards on the apartment while May isn't here.

She decides to do just that.

	May had had a long day. Finals were closing in, and she'd had a long gymnastics practice. She wanted pizza, a bubble bath, and then to watch reruns of bad eighties tv, all in that order. May opened the door to the apartment, not noticing Mel...but catching the smell of lemon pine sol. "...Hello?" (Reply to this)(Thread)

"Pretty Parker!" Mel says, popping up from behind a counter like some demented version of a jack-in-the-box. She smiles brightly as she bounds across the room to hug her best friend. She's taken a page from Kelly's book and picked up a spunky T-Shirt.

Mel's happens to say "My Boobs. You like this", in the vein of Facebook.

"I've been looking around this place for at least an hour, and there is no sign of you having done anything remotely wild, crazy or kinky in this apartment.

The Feng Shui in here is /all/ messed up." she says.

"How have you been?"

"Pretty Parker, you have no /clue/." Melissa grins, waggling her eyebrows.

"Hungry enough to eat a small child, May. Please order that pizza and save a life." she teases.

"No, seriously, though...have you brought anyone home yet? That's kind of the point of having your own place, where your little brother and parents can't just barge in.

Do you...not like it here?" Melissa asks.

"Aw, Maaaaaay! How are you going to have fun if you don't schedule it? I know you're busy with school and gymnastics, but sometimes, you've got to just get out there and /do/ stuff. Otherwise, you'll be fifty and never been on a date before." Melissa says.

"Did you ever call Doc Connors' kid? The one that was always giving you the 'Come-Hither' look?" Melissa asks, worrying for her friend.

"Huh. Well, if you need me to light--er, talk to her, I can do that. Benjy's a nice boy who deserves a nice girl." Melissa says.

"Kelly's great. She just met her sister, recently, and her sister is a nice girl, if a bit straight-laced." Melissa says, considering something for a moment.

"May...if I tell you somethin', will you try not to think I'm crazy?" she asks.

Melissa hopes it's not the mark of a bad friend that she notices May's breasts before the she notices the symbol on her chest. She has to blink a couple of times to get it.

But when she does, she looks up at May in honest-to-god shock.

"Ohmygod. It...it all makes /sense/ now! You're Spider-Girl." Melissa says.

"Okay, stupid question time...does Spider-Man know about this?" she asks.

Melissa just stares at May for one minute, then two, the expression on her face one of shock. Finally, that expression softens into a very weak smile and Melissa reaches out and hugs May warmly and gently.

It really was a small world, after all.

"Do me a favor? Next time you see your old man, please tell him a friend of yours says thank you for saving her family." Melissa says quietly.

"I ignore it for the most part," May said. "I know that there are people out there that count on me, and that's all that matters."

She shook her head. "I have no idea who that guy claiming to be Spider-Man is," she said. "It's not Ben. Ben doesn't have any powers. I was a late-bloomer when it came to getting mine, so there's a chance that still might get some, but I was his age when I got them. I don't know if he's ever going to get them or not."
