Her Daddy Gave Her Magic; I Can Tell By the Way She Walks.
Mom's latest line was coming out soon, using some of Nevell's latest highly-specialized fabrics, and Vernique helping out talking to the techs and models for fashion week.

One of the models... now that girl was downright preternatural. Something in her catwalk strut was extra predatory. Beautiful girl, though.

Greg wasn't sure how in the hell he got roped into this. Okay models were nice to look at, but fashion shows weren't his thing. Somehow his father got invited and he passed the invite along to Greg.

Though maybe it was a good thing he did come. One model caught his interest. Greg probably wouldn't have taken too much of an interest in her, but when she walked by he caught her scent. There was perfume of course, but underneath it he could smell something else. It was a familiar smell.

"Not at all. The less said about that part of my life the better. It's not an easy thing to live with and that's why I use Jazz and alcohol to forget about it."

The night New York air was cold, but Greg didn't notice it much. The cold never bothered him much. The heat was a different story.

"I can't begin to imagine what you deal with on a daily basis living with gods, let alone being married to one. Even you need a break from it once in awhile."
