Running partners
Jess had wanted to go out for a run so badly so today is the day. She can be found in the gym stretching as she finishes getting ready. She plans on strapping a bottle of water to her hip so she can stay hydrated during her run. She knows better than to risk dehydration during the summer heat.

Now all she had to do was finish her warm up and she'd be ready to go.

Sure he didn't do competitive swimming anymore, but he still liked swimming in his free time. At the same time he'd still go to the gym, usually as a backup though. Ever since this power thing he hadn't been comfortable using public gyms or pools so he often came to the HQ for that stuff. With his bag of gym gear over his shoulder, Harry pops into the gym, not expecting anyone there really.

"Oh! Hi Jess," he smiles.

	"Yeah, umm...well I was going to use the gym a bit. Cindy has a good set up here," he gestures and seems a little, well not quite flustered but something's off. It happens to be because he's realized she's in running gear. Well, more specifically, shorts. Rather short shorts in his opinion, but then again he didn't know what were considered short shorts to girls. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	"I like just going for a run around town. Helps me learn where stuff is in case we need to go do something," she says with a nod. "Plus I get the impression people like seeing us around. Doesn't hurt any." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

"I usually do that while flying around with a map. Helps with flying practice and teleporting around the city later," he smiles. Of his powers he'd used the teleporting by far the most, his flying still needed work though. But he didn't often get the opportunity for it.

"I never thought about the 'seeing us around' aspect," he admits. Harry had never been one for attention directed at him, so the idea he should be a proper 'superhero' and be seen about town hadn't once occurred to him. He looks away and nervously scratches his head, "Did you ah...want any umm...company?" It's clear he's asking because it's her, the being seen around town holds no appeal for him. There was a reason he did his running indoors.

	That gets a very pleased look from Jess. "I'd love it if ya came with me Harry," she says sounding very happy about that. "I don't really like running on my own all the time." It's like a date where he gets to see her legs. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

She'll get an even more pleased look right back. "Great! I'll ah-" He then realizes that he'd dressed with the assumption he'd be staying indoors. No secret ID concealing goggles on him at the moment. "Hold on a sec" In a flash he's gone, leaving his gym bag with his towels and swim shorts in his place, before coming back a moment later with the goggles.

"Okay, I think I'm ready. Did you have a usual route?" He couldn't remember the last time he'd done his running outside. Other than to catch a bus, but those days were gone.

	"Not really." she says with a slight smile. "I just tend to explore while I'm running." She considers then flashes a grin at the sudden thought that occurs to her. "Why don't you pick? It's not a huge deal and we'll end up looping around somewhere fun probably." (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	He looks quite surprised at the suggestion. "Me? But I don't know where it'd be good to run or if there would be too many people or something. 	He cared about people. He didn't want to bump into them or knock them over, and he really was not used to staring. But if Jess didn't mind he'd put up with it. "I guess. I'll do my best," he says with a small smile. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Perhaps safer wasn't accurate, but at least he's more comfortable in less crowded places. "That's fine. Maybe we can go through a park? If you know one nearby I mean," he smiles as they make their way down towards the HQ exit. (Reply to this)(Parent)
