There's a reason vigilantes don't use elevators and...okay well this isn't it.
Robin had gone down to Star City to look into the weapons dealing business that was connected to the trade in Gotham. A few nights should be enough to pick up what information he needed. In fact, he was in the middle of swinging through town after rattling one of the smaller fish when an alert tells him the alarm's been set off at a building not far from where he was.

Well, crimefighting called. So Robin swings that way and enters through a window before blending into the shadows again.

	Hearing that a building alarmed had been sounded over the police scanner Sam made his way over to the building. Shooting an line over the the build to made his way inside to check things out. (Reply to this)(Thread)

	"I'll prove it to you another time," Thomas smirks. "Then let's." With that they go off to begin their search through various floors. Thomas taps into the security system as they move and tries to look for where the alarm started. Good. It wasn't far. 	Thomas would see it as an opportunity to practice arrow catching. Because it was fun to see people's faces when it worked. "Of course, I don't know why you guys haven't done that," he chuckles. 	The force of the explosion pushes them into the elevator who's doors had been help open by a large box for some reason. But now wasn't the time to ask why. "You okay?" Thomas coughs once amid the smoke and keeps his head down in case the culprit arrives. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

And the box which had held the doors open has disappeared when the smoke clears and before the heroes can leave, the elevator doors shut.

A voice comes from a rather homemade speaker duct taped to a corner of the ceiling. "Mwuahahaha-*cough*-haha-*cough*-ha-Damn smoke ruining evil entrances...HA!"

"As you can see young heroes, you've fallen into my trap. For as long as you are in the elevator you are at the mercy of...The Evil Elevator Man!"

He pauses for dramatic effect and any heroic gasps. Go ahead, he'll wait for them.

...

No? Fine.

"*cough* Ahem, sorry the smoke really-wait why am I explaining myself to you? As I was saying: You are now at my mercy! Too long have you heroes laughed at me and underestimated my powers! Now is judgement day! You will feel the might of The Evil Elevator Man!"

And the elevator goes up one floor then down.

Fear him.

	Sam had no words for this. All he wanted to do was laugh but somehow that seemed like a bad idea to do to someone wo could Tower of Terror to death. "Hey hey! I can hear you! The Great Evil Elevator Man has ears!" The speakers crackle slightly and there's muttered swearing about this is what happens when one gets economical on their evil plans.

This time the elevator goes up, and continues rising, at a leisurely pace, towards the top floor. Some cheerful elevator music plays.

"Damn, thought I turned that off..," comes a mutter from the badly duct taped speaker.

	At that moment the elevator music finally stops cheerfully chirping from the built in speakers. And suddenly the elevator halts. Without warning it jerks up and down very quickly, intent on making its occupants lose their footing and fall over. "Ah ha!" Comes a triumphant yell as the elevator violently shakes. The sudden change in the elevator's movement nearly has Robin fall over, but he manages to regain his footing, holding onto one of the handrails as the whole thing violently shakes and starts moving unpredictably.

"Screw this," he growls. "There's an emergency hatch at the top of most elevators. Though it's only open-able from the outside. We're going to have to find a way to reach it and force it open."

If they can keep their balance.

	The elevator movements had Sam unsteady as well keeping him close to the ground. "I can blow the hatch with one quick arrow," Sam says pretty sure he has an arrow that can do just that. He knew he could make that shot even with the movements. (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)
